I live in South East London, however, whenever I want to eat curry, I always travel to the Pink Rupee in North West London (near to where I used to study). It's not the best looking restaurant and the decor needs updating, however, they do the best curry I have ever had and I will always be willing to brave the journey to visit the Pink Rupee. My favourite is their Tandoori Chicken, which I usually get as a starter. Their prices are reasonable and the staff is always friendly. I must admit though, the food does take a while to come out, so don't go there too hungry.

Overall, a lovely restaurant and they do the best curries in London.

Hidden away behind an un-prepossessing frontage, at the start of Cricklewood Broadway, is one of the best Indian restaurants in the whole of London. Simple the ambiance may be, but don't let yourself be put off by the cover - the service is excellent, unfailingly gentle and polite, and the food is simply outstanding.

Dosas made with delicate crispy-featherweight batters and rich, dark sambals; cod curry in a red pepper and tomato base nods in the direction of Southern Europe; plump, satisfying vegetable balls; yellow, lemon-infused rice, reliable, lightly-spiced chicken staples and tandooris - these are some of the reasons I rate Pink Rupee so highly.

Accompanied by Mango lassi or Nepalese beer, or occasionally a BYOB burgundy, this is northern Indian cuisine at its best and keenly priced. What more could yo wish for?

Pink Rupee has always been my favourite Indian, Nepalese family run restaurant. I would'nt go anywhere else. They are friendly and extremely busy when they can be. Well worth a visit.

I have been going to Pink Rupee for many years and I can assure you the food is of a very high quality; particularly the chicken tikka and the aloo gobi. The waiters are always pleasant as well as helpful and you can't find better value for your money!
