Toko Diner

Very good. It clearly is not Japanese, but pan-Asian. All are very good. I was impressed by the Japanese dishes - so many of the "Japanese" restaurants in London, run by Chinese/Vietnamese, are very poor. This is an exception - authentic and delicious and up there with food I have eaten in Japan.

The South East Asian food was also excellent and the staff friendly. Toko is a reason for travelling to Morden, and there are not many.

We have been coming to Toko for nearly 4 years now and have never hit a rough night. The staff are lovely and remember you. The menu is well thought out, has loads of variety and is all very tasty. Have introduced friends to the place and they are impressed. And of course, very good value for money. Special faves are the vietnamese noodles and the crispy squid...

First visited Toko Diner about a year or more and was incredibly impressed by the place. GREAT value for money and have just had a delivery tonight and been prompted to write my first review on this site (great resource for knowing good places and bad).

TOKO DINER EATING IN:

Service GREAT (staff remember faces and warm welcome and smiles)

Food GREAT (mountains of good noodles, fresh ingredients and just damn good value for money)

Atmosphere DOES THE JOB (not fancy pantsy, not an expected Morden dive... contemporary decor and VERY CLEAN)

TOKO DINER DELIVERY:

Timing ACCURATE and PROMPT

Food GREAT (slightly smaller portions than at the restaurant)

Menu prices GREAT GREAT value for money for London!!!!

Have eaten in once and ordered delivery at least 10 times in the last 2 years - love it! Great food, good service every time!

Only problem we've ever had is trying to order too much sushi for a delivery and they didn't have enough, as the restuarant was fully booked - so had to opt for different dishes, but they were still great.

Recommend the chili squid and all the sushi!

Highly rated - more people should try it - pity it's so hidden!

Toko diner is a wonderful little place which definitely deserves a more mainstream location...

The food is brilliant and good value, and the staff never fail to be welcoming and friendly. Absolutely love the pad thai and the sushi, but everything else is also delicious.

Whilst they get alot of delivery orders, I would love to see this restaurant full and bustling with people. Everyone go and give it a go.

Having enjoyed eating in this restaurant, the delivery service leaves much to be desired. Maybe I've had plain bad luck, but the last few times I've ordered, the food has arrived cold and I've had to heat it up in the microwave. The last time I ordered they forgot half my order, and having phoned to complain they did not even bother to offer compensation. The food is good and great value for money, but I would definately NOT recommend ordering in.

This is one which is well known to locals, but deserves to have wider recognition.

It is rarely full, but does have an extensive take away/delivery trade.

The food is excellent. Though described as a Japanese restaurant, it does have other asian meals on its menu.

Try the edamami as a pre-starter, The sushi is excellent and good value. The chilli squid is first class. In fact, the standard throughout the menu is excellent

In addition, there is a vietnamese cook in the kitchen, and the vietnamese dishes are well worth trying

Finally,the Tempura ice cream is a real treat and something different

As a family we have been going to Toko Diner for a good couple of years. The food is really tasty and excellent value for money! It's great to see that it's getting more busy, last time we were there it was totally full! I cannot reccomend it enough, the food is simply fantastic and the portions are huge!
