The worst customer service in London, officially.
Ok not officially but from visiting hundreds of cafes with clients never have I been so offended as by the customer service here.
Rude staff, no mugs given for hours before closing, no credit cards accepted but you can place an order and have your panini cooking before you are told. Cleaning goes on around you as you drink and the staff literally bark questions at you and slam down your order.

No prizes for guessing that the atmosphere in here is lacking, that is why more people go to Starbucks across the square.
I actually prefer Nero's coffee to Starbucks, but this branch has appalling service. I have twice been asked if they can give me a paper cup because they are closing soon (in 2 hours!) and when I asked for a mug, there were plenty.
They were cleaning the toilets with the door wide open near where I was sitting on one occasion, and mopping the floor around where I was another time (not because anything had been spilt - but I guess there weren't many customers, so they thought they could save time after closing) long before they were due to close.
I don't even come here anymore, even if Starbucks is packed full. Any other Nero's but this one, thank you very much!

The staff at this location was very friendly, though there was no notification that they would not accept credit cards. This location is also very clean.
