Nakhon Thai - Waterfront

Undoubtably one of the best all round restaurants in London. Pleasant, attentive staff, great ambiance and some of the best thai food I have tasted made with very high quality, fresh ingredients. The mezzanine level gives fantastic views down the dock and as it only has 5 tables feels very romantic. Live music that fits the mood and prices that won't break the bank complete the picture in one of the best places to eat in London.

I have been to Nakhon Thai many many times since we discovered it last Valentines Day. I must say it has got to be the best Thai food I have had in London. The food is always well presented, and always arrives within an excellent time frame between ordering and actually getting the food on your table.
Even on Busy nights like Valentines or a Saturday night the service and food never fails to be impeccable.
The Soft shell crab and chicken satay are divine, as well as the dumplings. The Pad Thai is cooked too perfection, and the currys are all cooked with a perfect balance of spices and coconut milk.
I recently took my mum there, it was her first time in a Thai and she was very impressed and loved every dish that we had.
The views are lovely if an evening, and in the summer you can sit outside and eat/drink overlooking the Victoria Docks.
I cannot rave on enough about this place, you will not be disappointed at all, infact it exceeds expectations everytime!
Nakhon Thai Waterfront is a credit to all Thai restaurants.

I went last Sunday night with my boyfriend & it took us almost 30 minutes driving up & down the area looking for a road to the restaurant as its pretty hard to find (though very visible from the flyover).
The place was near empty when we arrived & we were given a table upstairs (all to ourselves)overlooking the docks & the Excel centre. Staff were very attentive & courteous- service couldn't be faulted.
Probably some of the best Thai food I've had & at such decent prices- this must is a must-visit place for Thai food fans. The majority of the dishes were spicy but other than that, lovely food.

BRILLIANT!!! My boyfriend took me to Nakhon Thai on Friday night. It was very romantic as we had a candle lit balcony table over looking the water. The food was lovely and we had very generous portions. The service was good, great music and the atmosphere was superb. I can't wait to go again...

It was my Birthday and a friend invited me out to Dinner and told me to chose the where I wan't to go so I chosed Nakhon based on thr Reviews. Well I was more than satified, we had the fish, chicken in cashew nut and the prawn fried rice it was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was even better than expected, with live music in the back ground it was absolutely devine. I will be looking to my next visit.

Booked this restaurant for a Saturday night, atmosphere and music was very good.Food was excellent.Staff very attentive and friendly. We had a table on the upper level with views of the docks and lower level of the restaurant. A 12.5% service charge is added to the bill. Highly recommended. Would definitely go again. Its a little bit difficult to find though.

Had thought about going here for a while without making the short trip. When we finally decided to give it a go we were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Excellent food and views, service was good although declined towards the end of the night (waiting for top ups and bill, not offered coffee within reasonable time) so consistency is needed to be the best Thai you can choose to go to in East London. Great potential.

I visited this restaurant in July with my boyfriend and I had an excellant time. We had a balcony table near the window which had views overlooking the dock. The live music was beautiful and we were greeted by the friendly atmosphere as soon as we entered the door. I can't fault this restaurant for food or service either so all in all, a great place to dine. Comes highly recommended by both myself and my boyfriend who is especially fussy.

Excellect service from this restaurant. We got lost trying to find Nakhon Thai, so they told us they would pick us up from the Four seasons hotel. It was a 5 minute drive from there!!! The food was excellent with generous portions. We sat by the window with the perfect view and the sunset!! They even dropped us off at our car in Docklands!! Top marks for this restaurant... will definately go there again!
