I have to agree with an earlier review by Hunter that this place has lost its way and is nowhere near being a destination club anymore.

The place is soleless and not busy. We wont be going back like another reviewer suggested but wish then luck

Forget about the old fashion British Gentlemen Clubs. Sorry, grand-pa, members clubs, nowadays, are much younger, trendier and fun than they used to be. At Morton’s, the atmosphere is cozy, comfortable and modern with a touch of traditionalism. It reminds me a bit of Monte’s (10 years ago). It is a place of high standards where you can be picky without being too serious. The restaurant is bright and fresh, and the food is good. The cocktails are enjoyable and the cigars delightful. The staff so far, I do not have any complains. And the manager, an old friend of mine, is one of the funniest guys I know in the London restaurant / bar / club scene. Trust me, he definitely knows how to create an easy going, friendly and relaxed atmosphere for his customers. Moreover, he is really customers oriented and cleverly handles difficult situations with a very good sense of humor. Me and my friends like the place a lot. It has always been a good experience. Sometimes, we go for a drink, a cigar or a meal. We like to have a good laugh and a good time, and we really enjoy going there. I only have positive and happy comments about this place. And the wine list is absolutely amazing (which pleases me even more because I’m a Chef Sommelier and Wine Buyer for Restaurant and retails…)

For everyone and especially those who read the comment from "Hunter" (August 13th 2007). Obviously, this "hunter" guy is probably an old and unhappy customer that was probably expecting one of those old fashion British Gentlemen Clubs. Sorry, grand-pa, members clubs, nowadays, are much trendier and fun than they used to be. At Morton’s, the atmosphere is cozy, comfortable and modern with a touch of traditionalism. It reminds me a bit of Monte’s (10 years ago). It is a place where you can be picky without being too serious. The restaurant is bright and fresh, and the food is good. Trust me, he definitely knows how to create an easy going, friendly and relaxed atmosphere for his customers. Moreover, he is really customers oriented and cleverly handles difficult situations with a very good sense of humor. Frankly, “hunter”, I’m not so sure what you hunt but you must not catch very often (sorry, I couldn’t avoid this one…). If you do not like Morton’s, do not go back there, that’s all. Me and my friends like the place a lot. It has always been a good experience. Sometimes, we go for a drink, a cigar or a meal. We like to have a good laugh and a good time, and we really enjoy going there. I only have positive and happy comments about this place. I have never been to a place with such a relaxed, unstuffy atmosphere while maintaining it's effortlessly tip-top attention to detail, ambience and service. The staff are all delightful, couldn't do enough for you and make you feel special from the moment you go in to the (unfortunate) time when you have to leave. The management here are perfectionists and I cannot wait to see them all again. Many thanks.

if i wanted private dining with waiters that were more interested in themselves and a manager that was too drunk to notice what was going on i would have gone to a pub, where quite frankly i would have been looked after better

it is no wonder the place is empty and no atmosphere at all

probably the worst members club i have ever been to
