I thought Ed's diner was great! It was fun, the food was delicious and the music was brilliant.

Classic rock'n'roll music playing from the jukeboxes dotted around the place and you could choose what song you wanted!

I had a hot dog which i haven't had for a LONG time and it did not let me down! The milkshakes and malts were so good that i ordered another one to share with a friend!

Ed's diner was a really good restaurant, in fact; i'm going back there today!

Great place.

Milkshakes are decent, made with icecream not the dire milk-and-syrup you get from most places, and fresh unlike mcds.

At 3 quid a pop, i thought ripoff, but getting 3 glass from the jug, its great value for money!

excellant service,

great original atmosphere, and juke boxes you can find nowhere else!

I love this place. The fact is, I'm a novelist and Ed's inspired an idea for a new novel. When I have the outline finished I will send it to the folk's at Ed's to get there feedback.

The food was great, the atmosphere was perfect. I'm from the states and when I happened to walk past Ed's it was a cold and rainy night. I was drawn to the place.

A terrible choice of restaurant

Went with 2 friends, the cheese fries came with a sheet of rock solid plastically cheese over them, my chili hot dog was cold and had to be sent back. It came back slightly more microwaved than before and was just soggy at that point.

All meals came at odd timings with about 10 minutes inbetween fries and burgers arriving.

A final annoyance was the assumed addition of a discretionary 12.5% service charge!!

no way were we paying that.

Go at your own peril.

Eds is great the theme is fantastic and the atmosphere is fun and friendly. The milkshakes are extremly delicious and the burgers nothing like burgers, they dont taste as greasy as mcds(!) They sell reeces peanut butter cups which is always a hit!! Out of buying 1 milkshake you can get 3 glassfulls out of the big jug!!!Way to go eds!

Not convinced about this place - product has gone down hill recently, with an over-reliance on processed products. Burger, chips and a beer will be best part of £15, and doesn't represent good value for money. Is it a bit camp, however, in an entertaining way.

Much prefer Hamburger Union, as the product reange and quality is far better - there's one next to the Lamb and Flag nearby, in Garrick Street. The chorizos are delicious!

Burgers are not great, milkshakes are good but fairly expensive at £3 a pop, it feels like a slightly more upmarket McDonalds.

I would recomend going to Gourmet Burger Kitchen instead
