I had dinner at Pho a few weeks ago when they had the 50% off deal on. It's a tiny little cafe just off Oxford Street. We ordered starters which came really quickly. The bean sprout salad and pancake were both delicious. For the main course we ordered a soup and a chicken curry. My chicken curry was lovely. My friend didn't like his soup and the waitress was really lovely and changed this for us without charge.

The bill came to £22 which was a bargain for 2 starters, 2 main courses and drinks. The service was great. It's a "fast food" place and we were in and out within 1 hour so it's great if you are looking for a quick bite to eat.

This is a great little place with lots of choice and a cosy atmosphere.

The only thing I would say is that it doesn't cost £25 per person as suggested in the london-eating review!! More like £10, so a bargain too.

Went with two friends and loved it: inexpensive, fresh produce and delicious and well presented food. Service was good too. We had to wait for a table for a while which shows how popular it is - and for good reason.

Really really very good. A bunch of us dined here a couple of nights ago and had a blast. Very good noodle soup and summer rolls, right up there with the pho joints in LA where I come from, friendly and attentive staff, cool music and a general ambience that makes you want to stay all night long. A real find.

I went to Pho last night and it it without a doubt the worst Vietnamese meal I have eaten. The crepe was greasy and tasteless and the curry bland- the only flavour in it was watered down curry paste. The wide selection of Vietnamese beers was it's only redeeming feature. Any of the Vietnamese resturants on Kingsland Road are far superior.to Pho,

Gourmet Chick - 6/10

Friday, May 08, 2009 - The ability to personalise your broth is a real plus at Pho and allows a feel of authenticity. However, this is clearly pho for Westernised palates and all the cuts of meat used are lean without any of the delicious fatty flavoursome bits that you find inside a bowl of pho in Vietnam. Of all the varieties on offer at Pho the standard Pho Chin containing beef brisket is the top pick. The meat could be more tender but it offers the crisp yet understated taste that is the hallmark of Vietnamese cuisine. The same can't be said for the Pho Bo Vien which contains dull meatballs which lack flavour…
