As Greek as it Gets

Well to be quite honsety this restaurant has gone done hill in the last 3 months, they seem to change there staff faster then British weather. The friendly lady manager is no where to be seen and her pleasent character will be missed greatly. The portions have become smaller, my skewers were undercooked, along with the fries and well as i said the place really has gone down hill.
BRING BACK THE HAPPY, FAST AND FRIENDLY SERVICE, AND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GET THE GREAT FOOD BACK!!!!

The most delicious chips I have ever had!
My souvlaki was still not as good as back home in Greece, but it was the best I've had in London so far!
Excellent fast food restaurant, would go again, would recommend it!Two thumbs up!

Portions were massive & quality good, service was so-so (the waitress seemed distracted) although another member of staff (front-of-house) was quite delightful.
But why no hummous?

I've been there 3 times and definately will go again! The Cretan salad is unforgetable!!!Everything was more than delicious, a word I have forgotten a year in London! Portions cannot be met in London. They are hudge! Feel like back in country. Everything there reminds me of Greece. Even bottled water (is imported from Greece!). Keep up the good work and taste guys! Thanx!

Good food, well priced and served with a smile. I went in with my 11YO daughter and she was spoiled rotten and walked out with a TShirt to boot. The Pork Gyros and Tzatziki is as authentic as you like, the takeaway pittas are gorgeous and I try to pop in whenever I am in the area. Recommended for a quick sit down meal that won't take up 3 hours of your life.

On my second visit, almost everything disappointed, in complete contrast to the first time I went.
The non-smoking seating area downstairs is half the size of the smoking area upstairs (why?) but, with memories of a great meal last time, I thought it would be worth putting up with. Unfortunately, with a very low ceiling and no air conditioning to speak of, everytime someone lit up the restaurant basically hot boxed! Not pleasant when eating. The unpleasant level of smoke (why not get strong extractors to draw the smoke away?) was joined with, at times, offensively loud music which 'appeared' to get gradually louder after each of the three times we politely asked it to be turned down.
A point re the service: one, extremely stressed girl was left to cope with about ten tables and as her temper boiled with the pressure, the level of service dropped so low in terms of politeness that my pity for her turned to anger.
The food also disappointed. The lamb skewers were tough and overly fatty. My father's mousaka was dry and devoid of taste. Perhaps it was the smoke everywhere which made me lose my appetite but after a while I was desperate to escape the noise and smoke to the 'fresh' air of the Earls Court Road.
I am a local and it saddens me that this seeming gem has lost its sparkle.
