As Greek as it Gets

Many thanks to all the staff at As Greek as It Gets, we went to celebrate my dad's birthday, and what a unforgettable experience. The food is outstanding, a very pleasant atmosphere and quite roomy. Its an ideal place to experience the Greek cuisine even if it is the first time one is trying Greek cuisine. The menu offers a reasonable choice, fairly priced and the quantity of food is more then enough. If you are after a good restaurant at an affordable price, this might be worth checking out. For 5 of us I spent just under £25 per person on 2 course meal with drinks and one or two deserts.

I was so happy to find this place, as I was really missing food from home, the music, the souvlaki, the horiatiki salada...mmmmm! Absolutely delicious, made me feel like I was in Athens again!

Great food, great price, definitely go!

Very good. And very child friendly. Food was served quickly and attention given to the fact that our toddler needed food as soon as possible. We will definitely return.

I went there on 10 Jan with my Greek friends.it was a fenomenal experience!!!

We place an order only for mains and been informed by waitres that will take arraun 20-25 minutes.so we decide to get dellicous dips and some pita bread.

Paidakia was amasing!!!

Chicken fillet-it was the best grilled chicken ever in my entire life

Home made pork gyros looked realy fresh,tasty and juicy

But the best galaktoboureko and chocolate special!!!Only God knows how they make so Fab.desserts.

Will be back soon with other friends and try something else from menu.

Well done chefs!!!

I am regularaly going to as greek as it gets restaurant,

It is abig imrovment in every department.

Place is much nicer, service happy, great food,

no other greek restaurant in london will come close to them

I am really disappointed to see that the only place in London that sells real SOUVLAKI have taken its name off the menu and called it just "pitta wrap". I am proud to be Greek but obviously the owner there isn't or thinks he/she can make more money by losing the very greek concept they started with! This is like another "wrap" in any other restaurant; There is very poor management and implementation of the original great ideas.The service is moody and forgetful and you can hardly here the music. Gone are the days of smiles and full tables. It has lost its glory, a great shame as everyone was very warm to it. The only good thing is the food being on time and of its usual high standard.

We are proudof our hospitality, but you are an embarassment to all of us Greeks in London. I will never recommend you to anyone!

Came here in june 2006, it was great. Have just been back on sunday 25th march. The staff seem to have changed not as friendly as last time nor as efficient. I wanted a pork gyro, this was not available, only chicken. Had the same dips and baked feta as last time, both were good as were the chips and gyros. didn't have the wine listed, tried a cypriot red, ok. We left stuffed, cost only £30. enjoyed but not as much as last time.

I've been there 3-4 times. The food was overpriced and the service inadequate. However the nice environment and tasty food made us return. Recently the menu has changed, becoming more 'european'. Last time I was there, I couldnt find my favorite greek dishes and the new dishes are not greek at all! I dont think I'm visitng the place again. For us, greeks, who can spend 1/3 of the bill to eat the same dishes in larger portions in Greece, 'As Greek as it gets' is not the right place to eat in London.

the food was crap and not a decent portion and very expensive. they did not serve gyros at 22:00 on Fridaybecause it had finished. their service was awful.they wouldnt let us sit on tables because they would be closing after 15 minutes.In my opinion this is not a proper gyros and souvlaki shop!I would not recommended at all.I am Greek from Thessaloniki and I know how aproper shop works and what the portions are in Greece.

I don't think I will go back. Service was ok although they send the main courses on the same table at different times. So your friends have to wait looking at your full plate.

Food was ok again, nothing spectaculat and I wouldn't call it typical Greek. It's more like a Fast Food resturant with a hint of Greek.
