Ultimate Burger

Third time I have been dragged to this incredibaly over rated excuse for a restaurant. Very long wait, order goes all wrong, burger is burnt, staff are unhelpful, and to finish it all off It'll cost you around £10 - £15 pp for what essentialy is some mince and bread with a bit of cheese. Have a look at investing in thier shares, the operating profit must be awesome!!

We ventured into the soho branch during a really cool night out with friends all looking forward to spot of food.
Now if Les Dennis on Family fortunes had said...Name something that a "Burger" is made from? I would hedge my bet on the top answer being..."Beef"
You can therefore imagine our surprise when we were told that there was no beef on the premises. Not the end of the world if you compare it to the melting of the polar ice caps but not a good start to proceedings considering it is a "Burger" restaurant. Add into this equation the fact that there was no table service, a botched order - after having specifically told the manager at the till that his jokes about writing the wrong topping down were not particularly amusing - you can fairly surmise that this was not the the evening that we had hoped for. There is also the fact there is also only 1 male toilet of which I had to queue for on several occasions - ridiculous when you consider that place seats probably about 40+ people of which a percentage will be men.
Basically our venture to Ultimate Burger can be summarised with the following equation:
No Beef + No Table Service x Unfunny jokes + Botched order = Ultimate Burger.

went there before seeing Cabaret at the west end. I have to say i was impressed by everything, good portions, really nice fries, the milkshake was thick and cold and a side dip of garlic mayo went down a treat. I was really impressed by this place and its definatley wort spending the extra money for a wholesome meal. I will revisit for sure!

I must admit to being somewhat taken aback by the below reviews - are these people mistaking my local kebab shop for an absolute quality burger establishment. I would firstly set straight a few facts - the bun is identical to that used by Gourmet Burger Kitchen and is in my opinion superb. The menu is simple yet very affective. The relish is again idnetical to that used by GBK, which i personaly am not a fan of. The service is superb, the burgers are juicy, fresh and pack a punch. But ultimately (pardon the pun) this group serve american mustard which quite frankly is essential for any burger. We must remember that these little gems originate from America hence the need for american mustard. In short ignore the rest of the burger outfits and the below reviews and give this place credit where credit is due.

Not very good. Ok it's better than BK or Mac but otherwise way overpriced. Everything adds up quickly and before you know it, a meal costs £15 for an average burger (meat very small portion) some chips, a milkshake and a dessert.

The burger (meat) isnt bad at all but you dont have the variety of choise that other places offer while the bun isnt that good. If you go there you should defenately try out the ice cream. Its an ideal place if you want to have a good (not excellent though and defenately not ultimate) burger and dessert and pay less than 10 pounds

Service is good, but food a big disappointment!
I tried the 'blue cheese' burger. It says on the menu 'blue cheese sauce', and being the 'ultimate burger' place and all, I expected it to be sauce made with blue cheese. It was more like the cheap thin blue cheese dressing you get at macdonalds, which just tasted of vinegar, and no taste of cheese to be found. Burger was pretty tasteless, and burnt.
My mate tried a bacon cheeseburger. Tough bacon, minimalist flavourless cheese and a very burnt bun. The chips tasted distinctly of old cooking fat.
Finally, and the clincher for me; the toilets were filthy. No soap and no loo roll. Yuck.
Save the nonsensical £10 a head and go to burger king.

Ultimate Burger: raisin relish, pointy sticks and sad, sad absence of "pickles". Fun in a bun sense (good seed coverage), and milkshakily great, a top venue for those who enjoy hanging things on little hooks.

They say the Ultimate Burger, alas they don’t cater for the Hungry – No double burger even mentioned on the menu. When you ask they begrudgingly inform you that you can have one extra for the price of Chilly Fries! – Ultimate more like minimalist!

Went here with a friend when we were looking for a good burger on a sunday afternoon (as you do). Pleasantly surprised. The burgers are huge, the service was fast and the fries with mayo dip pipping hot.
Nice touch with the tomato shaped ketchup bottles.
Will definitely go again
