This is my favourite mexiican by far, purely down to the quality of the food which is oustanding. It is the most authentic mexican i have found so far. Granted it is a bit on the pricey side and its not what you would call a tradiitional restaurant setting.
If you are a fan of mexican food try it at least once....

What a disappointment! I had semi-high hopes about this place after hearing decent things about it, but let's be honest with ourselves here, one is hard-pressed to find ANY decent Mexican food in London. This place is no exception. For example, I had the burro with pork. One word...BLAND. The meat filling was tasteless as was the guacamole. It was accompanied by a few sad, browning pieces of iceberg lettuce and some slivers of peppers and served in the most awkward clay shallow bowl thing, making it a little difficult to cut whilst fearing you were getting a mouthful of clay pot chips . My friends and I determined that they must use these clay bowls to try to give the illusion that you're actually getting a decent sized portion. You would think for £9.75 they could at least have seasoned the meat and served the burro with some rice or beans. Speaking of rice, my friend ordered the beef enchilada which was served a spoonful, literally, of microwaved rice and black beans.
The service was, well, ok. At one point, a kitchen employee was serving us, the next a surly, thoroughly miserable-looking woman was and next what appeared to be a manager type who asked if our food was good and didn't seem to care when we all said, in unison, 'it was ALRIGHT.'
For what you get (service and food quality), you'd be better off buying about 3 dozen of those do-it-yourself buritto kits from the supermarket. At least you'd be sure the food would be served hot and on an actual plate.
Add Crazy Homie's to the list of mediocre, overpriced London restaurants.

Having gone to lucky 7 (the next door diner) for years and loved the consistently good food and service, I decided to give its mexican counterpart a go. I'm so upset I didn't come here sooner, its everything a mexican restaurant should be - with amazing decor (check out the amazing skull collection!), cool music (think a mixture of proper rock n roll and old school hip hop) and ridiculously good looking and hip 20-something staff. Although admittedly its quite pricey and you do often have to wait for a table, with the margaritas flowing and the banter you get from the staff, the wait is all part of the crazy homies experience! Be sure to try the shrimp tacos and the chorizo gringas, they'll blow your mind! Word to the wise, don't go here expecting formality and silver service because thats not what this place is about: be relaxed, be nice to the staff and they'll love you back tenfold!

I went to Crazy Homies last night with a few friends and I must say I cant understand some of the reviews people are giving this restaurant.
We were a group of 4 who had to wait 1 hour for a table, however the manager paid a great deal of attention to us and made made us feel quite at home. He promised us it would be exactly an hour and, bang on, we got our table!
After a few pomegranate margaritas (Awesome!) and some really delicious totopos and salsas we got seated on the front table, which rocks because it feels like you are the only people in the restaurant and you get to observe all the goings on through the copious amounts of mirrors this place has...
We shared a surf and turf platter to start and I was absolutely blown away by the beef nachos and swordfish tacos.
The music is eclectic but always rockin and I must say the floorstaff are hot!
Definitely coming back!

I have always been a big fan of Crazy Homies - the food and service have always been excellent.
Unfortunately though this was not the case last night. The usual Manager was nowhere to be seen and instead a rude and unpleasant Manageress was in his place. We arrived at 7.40pm and the restaurant was full. So we placed our name on a waiting list and were told to come back in 20 minutes. I asked if I could leave my number so that they could call when a table became available but was told they couldn't do this. We came back 25 minutes later (granted we were 5 minutes late) but when we arrived we were told she had already given the tables away as she thought we weren't coming back. The manner in which she spoke to us was rude and unpleasant and she really couldn't have cared less. All it would have taken was an apology. Stupidly we decided to wait further for a table. As we were waiting we overheard another group leaving their names on the list only for her to take their number for when a table became available. She had the audacity to do this in front of us!
When confronted about this she said she was now 'stressed' so she could do this but before she had not been 'stressed' so she couldn't do it. I then had the door of the restaurant slammed in my face.
I have never been treated like this by any restaurant and I'm sorry to say that she has sincerely tarnished the reputation of crazy homies. Judging by the other reviews on this site this is not the first time either. So Crazy Homies if you are reading this get rid of the surly staff before you get rid of your customers.

What can I say? This was possibly one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had, and we didn’t even get served food. A group of us celebrating a birthday turned up at 6pm (as instructed by the waitress, to guarantee a table) and were told unfortunately it was going to be an hour-and-a-half wait. The table we had our eye on was given away five minutes prior to us arriving.
No matter, we went two doors down for a drink. I kept popping back to check on the table status every 20 minutes, to be told the window by the table was ours once it was cleared. They don’t take reservations, but she said I could put my number and name on a waiting list. There was a table of four ahead of me, but they wouldn’t be seated in the only big table. I offered my number, but absurdly she refused it (as if I’d imagined the conversation a few seconds before?), and said she’d just take my name.
To cut a very long and infuriating story shot, we came back and hour-and-a-half later and got told the only big table by the window was given to the group of four ‘because they wanted to sit near a window’. When I objected, she said I should’ve given my phone number. We were all incredibly frustrated (but didn’t swear or raise our voices) and she said ‘well I don’t think you have the right attitude to eat here’.
To the owners of Crazy Homies – your manager is incredibly rude, ungracious and terrible at customer relations. I suggest in these economic times you ramp up your service, or people will start leaving, despite the quality of the food.
Don’t go!
