It's without doubt a great Mexican place, with the best Mexican food I have ever tasted in London, divine Margaritas and cool Mexican beer. But be prepared; no table reservations and the place is tiny so expect to wait 30-60 min. As long as you know this and don't let it ruin your night it is fantastic!

Crazy Homies is my favourite Mexican restaurant in London, and believe me, I search for it (and know I am not alone here).
Sure the service isn't that great (the hipsters have to work somewhere!), but if you go knowing that, and enjoy the great chips & salsa, excellent guac, wonderful pork gringas, super good margaritas and hilarious atmosphere, then you'll have a perfect time.

The food and drinks were good… once we finally received them! The overall service was terrible and really did ruin what was meant to be a good night out for a friend’s birthday. It took them at least 20 minutes to bring us our drinks each time we ordered them, and when did finally receive our food they had forgotten two dishes. At the end of the dinner when we tried to pay with our cards they informed us that they only accepted a maximum of 3 cards! At no point were we informed of this when we made the booking (and informed them we would be 10 people), neither was it at the bottom of any menu etc. We were informed by a rather rude manager that it was normal and standard in London for restaurants not to accept more then 3 cards … I’ve lived in London for over 7 years now and dine out a lot with large groups and can officially state that this is the first time I have every been told this.
The atmosphere when we got there was great and promising for a good evening… but the service really did ruin it for everyone and wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I LOVE this place. I read the reviews and took my boyfriend, who is a big fan of Mexican food, so it was paramount the food was good - and it didn't disappoint. It was incredibly competitively priced for the quality, the portions looked a bit on the small side, but once you actually tucked in it was a perfect amount (it's so cheap you could just order something else if you have a bigger appetite) and it was so tasty.
The margherita's were the only expensive thing on the menu, and bumped up our tiny food bill considerably but they were incredible and really worth the money. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was laid back and the cosy size means it's a great place for friends and couples alike. A brilliant night out.

Having lived in Southern California - about 20 minutes from the Tejuana border it was rather nice to find this kind of funky, bohemian Mexican in London.
Service was great, atmospehre is warm and friendly, food was great - lovely flavours, good Tequilla, Great iced Corona and goodness the Churros for dessert were out of this world.
Only issue was smoking is allowed and there was a couple at a table very near us, smoking!
But for the smoking I would give this a 9 out of 10 and I forgot to mention this is a place for kids.

brilliant food very small me and my husband ended up sitting downstairs, the only thing i would say is that i could barely understand a word any of the waitress were saying i think i had to repete my order 3 times as they didn't understand me! this made my anger levels rise bar man is brilliant, but i just don't understand why people get forigen people to be the front of house in england, i do not think this is right at all. fair enough if you only have foreign people come in but nearly everyone is english that goes there

Went there last night. Fantastic Mexican food. Although the chef is Brazilian and Armenian, they do manage to get things right.
Will return.

Having read the review of this restaurant on London-eating I decided to give it a try with friends. This restaurant did not disappoint. It combines fantastic authentic food with a funky setting and fun atmosphere. The only thing to watch out for is the fact that because you cant book you can end up sharing a table with people who maybe smoking when you're eating. However on the whole its such a great little place that it wouldn’t stop me going again. A great place to go with friends!

A group of us went to Crazy Homie's for my husbands birthday party. I knew beforehand from the reviews that it was going to be small, but I was still taken aback from the outside as it looked like a small American roadside cafe. We went inside and luckily they had enough space for us, you can't book tables in advance. It is cramped and you can't move the tables because they are nailed to the floor! It has a cozy feel and it's decorated with authentic memorabilia.
The food was excellent! As a Texan living in London, this was some of the most authentic Tex-Mex food I've had. And I've been to many Tex-Mex restaurants in London. We had chips with salsa to start and the portion was enough to share between 4 of us. For my main course I had the taco salad bowl which was tasty and reminded me of home. It was filled with melted cheese, refried beans, salsas, avocado, soured cream and salad. Do not confuse taco salad with the tacos; my partner ordered tacos and the portion was tiny, starter size.
And to top it off we had Mexican beers and drunk-on-one margaritas.
Most of the dishes have a vegetarian option, as well as a seafood, meat and chicken option.
I will be going back here many more times in the future. I'm only annoyed I didn't discover it earlier!

Went for dinner on Saturday evening, arrived and was totally dead - we were literally the only people in the place. Decor is completely different than I expected, white tiled walls (diner-esque), little tables with a bench that goes around the room that you sit on. The seats were uncomfortable.
Was not dead for long, within a half hour the place was heaving, and I understand why. The chips with salsa are not your usual stuff that could be mistaken for old el paso, this is the proper, very watery consistency, very spicy stuff. Exceptional value at £4 for a selection of three salsas and chips, a couple more pounds for excellent guac.
Taco salad with chicken and my spicy pork tortillas were - excellent.
The place is so cheap they should register as a charity because they are giving it away, we were both absolutely stuffed for less than £20 for food. Would highly reccomend.
Service was only OK, but forgivable as there are not a lot of them and there was a private function downstairs.
Only downside, which we did not experience, is that it is so small - paired with the no reservation policy, that it is a roulette game whether you will get a table or not - and alternatives nearby are scarce (The Oak, Westbourne, and The Cow are also difficult to get a table)
Will return.
