Crazy Homies

I ve been going to crazy homies and lucy seven regularly for the past 7 years. They are great notting hill classics, food is great, easy, atmosphere is nice and fun. However, lately it seems that the service has deteriorated drammatically. For the third time in a two months I ve promised myslef that I will never go back after having been treated rudely by an overstressed, unprofessional, frantic restaurant manager. It s almost fun to watch but it seems as if the manager is making avery effort to make people unconfortable and loose clients, which is a shame because both restaurants are great. I guess, I will continue to go bock hoping that they will get someone else to run it!!

I looked forward to going to the crazy homies after a friend recommending it. So unfortunately, the place is very uncomfortable and very cramped. The main waitress was actually unfriendly and unhelpful.
The food was nice enough but far too expensive (£13 for a chicken burrito without rice) - The price over the top... If at least the service was good!!!!
Nearly £40 for two people for a bit of chicken, beans, and flour!!!
We will not be returning.... thank you very much.

Finally made it here last night and sad to say that we won't be in a rush to go back. Not because the food was bad, rather the service was chaotic and very, very slow. Lots of young Americans hanging out doing shots - getting wasted maaaaannn.
We ordered the totopos (chips) and mixed salsas - all were very good and the chipotle was the overall best - nice and smoky with a bit of good heat. Chips were fresh and very good. Mains were rare steak on tostadas and and order of pork picadillo. The flavors were clean and fresh. Portion size was good for mains and left us full.
For those and defend the the slow service because they are busy - if they know they'll be busy, why don't they staff for it or train for it? If they were faster serving drinks we would have ordered another round - as it turned out, the waiter forgot about ours and ended up comping them. Drinks should be flying out of the bar - they are the biggest money maker!

I used to come here when it was cool. Not sure what happened but the service is not the only thing that has gone down hill.
It used to be a fun place to go for a beer, now its not a bar or a restaurant?
Oh well, all bars have their day, this one certainly has.

My boyfriend and I went to try out this restaurant, after hearing excellent reviews. We were seated within a normal amount of time - and this is where the positives of the evening ended. We waited for over an hour for our food; our waiter dismissed any of our attempts to ask whether we would be served - as we watched tables that came in over 30 minutes after us and whom ordered the same food served prior to us. Our server apologised profusely to the table next to us for the wait and even gave them a complimentary dinner. We waited almost twice as long and our waiter never once asked whether we needed refills, if the food was OK, or apologised for the inexcusable wait. On a side note: the wet burro with steak if pretty good.

Agreed, I really do not know what people are complaining about. I regularly take my friends to Crazy Hommies as not only is the food fantastic but there is also a great atmosphere. The waiting staff can seem over rushed but that is because the place is so busy and when you do get seen they are always friendly. I would recommend this as a place to take friends rather than a place for a romantic dinner for two. Crazy Hommies is a fun lively place to drink magaritas, do shots with the waiting staff and gorge yourself on lovely mexican food. For those people who critised this place, get over yourselves!

I adore this place. I don't know what people are complaining about! I always find the service to be good. you may have to wait for a bit for the table, but that just goes to show how popular it is! I always feel looked after and have never had any reason to complain. The food is amazing. I've been there several times when people next to me have said it is the only decent place in london to get good mexican food, and they're right. Wet steak burro is incredible.

As a mexican whom lives here in London I have to say this is about as Mexican as Taco Bell. My dog wouldn't even eat the Tortilla that I brought home as a treat. Saying that, it tries to thrive on the flash of the colourful decor, but lacks the hospitallity and smells of clay pot cooking that are paramount in traditonal authentic Mexican food. Plus that "rude" waitress should seek other employment if this texi/mex-diner wants to at least have repeat customers. I actually wish there was a real resturaunt that served "REAL" mexican food that would kick Crurry Houses ass's but sadly this is not it, nor is the neighbouring Taqueria. These two seem to go the style over substance, when the food is what really matters, and it's just not here.

Agreed! The service at Crazy Homies is the worst and you would think they would want to turn tables quickly there considering the no reservation policy. The waitress seemed annoyed when we asked if we could order after 20 minutes. Food came out VERY slow too when we just ordered salsa and chips and quesadillas.

Probably the worst service I have ever got at a restaurant... the food is M&S style tex-mex in ceramic plates.
My party of four waited 30mins for a table only to have to harass the waitress to take our order (after another 30mins) - she remarked she did not think we ordering any food...
The food came in semi-cooked... decent crockery though.
We then waited another 30mins trying to get a bill.
The upside - nice place if you have time to kill!
