Crazy Homies

Just been back to Crazy Homies for the first time in a while. Wow, the place has completely changed in attitude of staff and quality of food. Was warmly greeted and although busy did their best to get us drinks and free nachos quickly whilst we waited for our table. The 30mins flew buy due to prompt drink service and lively atmostphere. We sat down and decided to try a little bit of all the menu and were not disappointed. Everything tasted freah and our waitress was really helpful.
I can only recomend C.H. for a good fun night out in Notting Hill. They also have a superb selection of Tequilas for those of you who see it more than just a penalty drink or a bad memory of your youth.

this place is amazing . It is by far the most fun place I have been in west London in a while . I found the staff to be full of fun ( in contrast to previous reviews) and really helpful and informative about the tequila and the food on offer. A real party atmosphere was present on this particular saturday night and I really did not want to go home ! friendly fun atmosphere with great staff , great food and amazing music, I will most certainly be back !

We were immediately not greeted by 4 people by the bar chatting to each other - then thought I was mistaken that they were guests. Ooh no - they were working there and did that cardinal teenage attitude thing of acting like we were intruding on a private party. Instead of how many people or hello - i got a raised eyebrow that insinuated this.
The margaritas were as sour as the service. They also got every order wrong - considering they are known for their margarita they couldn't understand the salt no salt difference. They also got the tacos messed up between the soft flour and the fried. We just gave up by that point because they just weren't listening.
The tacos were just ok - it was the kind that you could have got at Marks and Spencer. Really disappointing. There was really no redeeming quality. Acoustics were terrible, the vibe wasn't exactly pumping either.
Never again.

There is nowhere like Crazy Homies in London and that is a fact. A fantastic selection of tequila, standard Mexican Beer and some of the best margaritas ive ever had ( try the Tommys with Herradura Blanco which was recommended to me by my waitress). I've been going to Crazy Homies for over a year and my experience of it keeps getting better. I'm a big fan of their beef burro wet which means it's smothered in enchilada sauce and melted cheese. Their salsas and guacamole are to die for and very fresh. This isn't a family place or fine dining. Think New York, the staff aren't afraid to talk back to you if your rude but they are quick, friendly and happy to talk about food, tequila and play music that makes me and my friends happy.

This is truly a little pearl. I have no idea which place all the grumpies went to, but we had a lovely time here. We are quite experienced with Mexican food from all over Europe and the US and we found the food very good. The margaritas are great (try Sinful Cynthia's Cadillac) and the music is top. And they have an awesome selection of tequila. Some of the staff are maybe not the most professional waiters, but they were very friendly and open. Will definitely go back next time in London.

Me and some buddies had seen that Crazy Homies were having a Cinco de mayo celebration, so we thought we should head down. This place is usually quite busy but this particular night they were rammed!
There were 6 of us and we had to wait an hour for a table but this flew by! The Margaritas and crazy music selection really helped pass the time.....and the hot waitresses!
I have mexican food running through my veins and this is up there with some of the best in california! The shrimp tostadas were generous and really tasty and the tequila selection is mammoth and dangerous!
I recommend this place for first daters and party goers...Tequila really does make you happy and this really isn't fine dining so don't come here if you are expecting silver service but do come here if you want crazy staff, awesome cocktails and a place where you can just let loose!

I visited crazy homies for a birthday celebration with a group of 17 friends. Due to the cramped set up of the venue and the lack of help from waiters, we were forced to squeeze into a tiny area. A wide range of food was ordered throughout our group but all came back with similar reviews; the meal was average and flavourless, the service was rushed and un-polite and the prices were way to expensive for cardboard tasting mexican. Unfortunately this was all topped of with a 'apparent' lesson in how to tip from a waiter who made it his goal to show his disgust in a group paying 12.5% service charge only on a £400 bill. A £50 tip on a quiet Monday would be appreciated in every restaurant in London. Obviously this 'waiter' should check his job description before ruining a evening and ensuring 17 people never visit this venue again.

I was at Crazy Homies tonight for a friends birthday dinner. The staff were grumpy and made us feel as if they were doing us a favour by being there. We had a group of 15 and they crammed all of us onto 2 tiny tables. There was a 3rd table there available, but were told we couldnt have it. The food was ok, but expensive for what it is. So, despite the average service and overpriced food, we decided to pay the discretionary 12.5% tip... being over £50 on a £400 bill. But apparently this wasn't good enough, as one of the staff followed us out the front door and abused us in front of the rest of the restaurant guests for not leaving a big enough tip! After reading everyone else's review's, its no secret that Crazy Homies is nothing more than a collection of grumpy, wannabe, try hard, emo west enders serving nachos and tacos with a £15 price tag. GIVE IT A BIG MISS.

my experience was better than those below but understand the gripes. service isn't overly friendly which is partially due to the cramped nature of the place, not helped by people hovering waiting for your table. it's kinda fun though and the food is tasty, although throw in a couple of pretty average magheritas and the bill is suprisingly toppy for whats basically a fast-food joint. I take my mexican-food loving American wife (this is a big expat hang-out) about every 18 months and that's the right level of patronage for me...

I can, unfortunately, only emphasise what the other negative reviews here have said in what was probably the worst experience of a restaurant I've had the displeasure of going to.
The food was overpriced, small portions and was only OK in terms of quality. Certainly nothing I'd recommend.
My main problem with this restaurant was that I left an expensive umbrella there by mistake and boy do I regret doing that now. Where normal restaurants will at least be civilised people and hold your property for you for a few days until you can come and pick it up, I was given a 48 hour deadline by an extremely rude member of staff who found my umbrella there and although I rang half an hour after leaving the restaurant was told I couldn't come back and get it that night and that I'd have to return again within 48 hours or - in his words - "someone might like the look of it".
So I called the restaurant again the day after (well within that man's 48 hour deadline!!) and the member of staff I spoke to said that they now couldn't find the umbrella, told me there was no point in coming to the restaurant that day and asked me to call back the next day. I called the next day, again, asking where my umbrella was and when I could come and get it, and again, I was told that it couldn't be found. I asked to speak to the manager - they weren't around. I gave my number to be passed to the manager - nobody called. I emailed the manager - nobody replied.
As a group, we spent a lot of money in this awful place that night and I was absolutely appalled at what I found to be very unhelpful staff. I have tried in vain many times to get an explanation from the manager and have waited some time for the manager to contact me to explain what had happened but I've had nothing so therefore feel it only fair that I warn other restaurant go-ers of this experience.
I CAN'T EMPHASISE ENOUGH TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT.
