What a brilliant place! Pogo not only serves delicious vegan food but also has a bookshop and art gallery. The cakes are lovely and served with vegan ice cream. The staff are friendly and the music was wicked!
The "Special" we had tasted great. The restaraunt was almost full when we arrived on a Saturday evening and we met some amazing people. There is nowhere else like it and everyone should visit for the atmosphere and "alternative" culture. Pogo is professionally run by the volunteers who work there. Will certainly return for more!

The dishes mentioned by "Pam" are no longer served at Pogo!!! All the food is organic and FRESH!! The majority of Pogo customers are very happy with both the food and service. Complaints are listened to and standards improved accordingly. All of the staff at Pogos are volunteers and care about the cafe. Vegetarian Guides voted Pogo as the top cafe for vegan cakes. Pogo is currently serving a mouthwatering summer menu....

I really wanted to like the Pogo Cafe...really wanted to, I had heard so many good things about the palace, and was excited to taste some interesting vegan food from the menu, especially the cakes which I had seen on the website, but on the day that I visited with my sister we were not very impressed.
I had the pumpkin & Spinach Lasagne while she had the Shepherds Pie.
Lasagne: The pasta was rubbery and the white sauce and spinach filling insipid. The tiny salad served with it was very limp and the potato wedges only just passable.
S-Pie: The mash on top was flavourless with a strange, dry consistency that even the gravy couldn't help. The beans in the filling were like hard pellets and the side veg was only just passable.
We were expecting fresh food, but it seemed like it had come straight from the freezer (and like it might have been there for some time). In general the food was bland, bland bland. Could do (much) better!

At last!!! Real fruit juice....fruit juice is freshly squeezed at Pogo rather than made from "concentrate". [concentrate is chemicals pretenting to be juice.] As a vegan I love this vegan cafe! A well kept secret this place is amazing. And they play reggae / rap from Benjamin Zephaniah, the best! Went with my fussy non veggie brother who enjoyed his meal and even had seconds which is first for him. Will definately be going again. 10 out of 10.

Wow! This cafe/restaurant in Lower Clapton has an amazing art gallery...showing currently is a graffitti art display by Martin Bull. The food is all vegan and mostly organic. The staff are cool and really friendly. There are film nights, live music from unsigned/underground artists, poetry etc..I met some amazing people. The music was good as well...everything from Macka B, Louis Armstrong, Ladytron, Poison Girls etc. Two big comfy sofas were welcome as I ate breakfast after a night's partying...There is also free internet with two computers and WIFI. You can "bring your own" alcohol as there is no alcohol sold there. The vegan ice cream was mouth orgasm. Yum. There's a real mixture of people too...a real experience. Next door is a Black writers bookshop where I found some really good books too. Well worth a visit!

Had Sunday lunch here with some friends a few weeks ago. The best - by a long margin - vegan food I've had for a very long time. Yummed it all up in mere minutes. Vegan knickerbocker glory for pudding, which was sublime. vegan ice-cream is something not often done well. Only downside is the slightly sketchy location; not sure I'd want to leave there alone after dark!

This is a wonderful cafe during the day, with free internet access and wi-fi. At night Pogo transforms into an intimate restaurant with wonderful food and mouthwatering cakes with a background of chilled reggae music. We were served by a really cute guy. Will definately go again!

Probably the best cafe I have been to in London whether vegan or not. Live music with up and coming unsigned artists, poets, film nights etc this place is amazing! Various "celebs" have also been spotted...a real mix of interesting people can be found here. Gorgeous staff...some amazing looking tattooed girls!!! Food is entirely vegan and mostly organic. Well worth a visit.
