The Dartmouth Arms

A very enjoyable Mother's Day lunch was had at the Dartmouth Arms. Besides the food being well presented and most importantly tasty (the rice pudding was amazingly comforting and they do children's portions of the regular menu!) the atmosphere was great. There were lots of families with young children, which I thought was great, as well as groups of adult only tables. I am looking forward to sampling the evening menu and atmosphere very soon.

Thia place must be a joy for the locals who now might not have to venture up to east dulwich so often. The chef isn't quite at the top of his game but shows imagination and although the food is good, its not great just yet. I agree with another reviewer though, the wines appear to be well priced, but they're rough as %@#k. Grab a pint of ale instead!

A really very happy time looked after by two charming young ladies. The wine list is a little limited and on the expensive side (quality/price) but we evetually found something that really was pretty acceptable. The service was somewhat slow but really, taken as a whole, these minor issues faded into insignificance. We shall re-visit!
