It was just stunningly delicious, had a big meal with four persons sharing and trying each others dishes. It was fantastic and unforgettable! Thank you so much, next time in London will have to come again!!

I stumbled across this place about 6 years ago and have never looked back. Forget the curry places on brick lane - Spices beats them all hands down. The food is all cooked freshly, so it sometimes takes longer to arrive than in some places, but it is well worth the wait. Instead of ordering from the menu, tell Ali (the owner) what sort of thing you like and he will make help you choose a dish to suit you. Great curry at a great price, and the BYO policy is really nice when eating in. Highly recommended.

The food and service were great, the other reviews convinced me to go, and they were spot on! A nice touch was the staff got us to taste the dishes when they arrived without the rice just to make sure we were pleased. Great!! The atmosphere is great because it's so lovely and everyone is having fun, but it doesn't have amazing decor or anything like that, which is fine, just to give a true reflection on everything.

If you come here expecting a korma or chicken tikka massala you probably won't get it, even if it is on the menu. That's a good thing, as there are better dishes you could be eating!

The head waiter gave us gentle guidance with our choice of mains, and said that if we didn't like anything within 30 seconds of trying it, he'd change it for us. The dishes were all delicious, great breads and top service.

Open your mind to the great Bangladeshi dishes at Spices. You won't want to order your korma ever again.

Spices is AMAZING. The service is incredible and the food is delicious! The server politely told us that we should try something more exciting than the tikka masala we all ordered and he made incredible suggestions. He even promised to let us try everything once it was made and switch our order if we didn't like it! But we LOVED all of the things he suggested! I CANNOT wait to go back- honestly SO GOOD!!!

Went to Spices last night with 2 friends and had a great time. They really to do some of the best curry in London. It's nice to see the owner chatting to you and offering his help and advise too! Well worth a visit and BYO too.

I live, travel, and explore for the sole purpose of finding gastronomical experiences that will enlighten my taste buds and challenge my culinary knowledge.

"Spices" Bangladeshi Indian cuisine has not only exceeded all of these, but is by far the best Indian food that our entire table has ever eaten.

An extremely knowledgable and passionate host will take your taste buds on an educational and extremely flavourful journey customized to your preferences. Talk to him, listen to what he has to say, share all your dishes, and experience what good food is about- learning, friends and family, and the euphoric feeling that you are doing your body good.

Good food makes the world better, and this is it.

Like any little gem this restaurant has it's faithful followers and most are not overly keen to share the delights with everyone. This BYO is just a different experience from your usual London curry house, 'Ali' will take you through the menu, make recommendations so you get a bespoke curry dish 'how hot do you like it, dry or saucy, 1-10 on spice?' As they make every dish from scratch be prepared for a longer dining experience but it is definitely worth the wait! A group of 10 of us went there and we started with the lamb chops, I would say they are up there as the best I've had (after trying both Tayyabs and Lahore Kebab House before). The main dishes were fresh and very flavoursome.. I could go on about this place all day but I suggest you just go there and try it yourself!

I went to Spices this Saturday with a few friends.

It was pretty busy and we hadn't booked, but they squeezed us in.

One of our party asked for a Tikka Masalla and the very friendly owner told us not to have that but trust him on his recommendation, promising that if we didn't like it he'd give us a Masala instead! It was a great recommendation - the Mita Jal Saag was bursting with flavours of onion, spinach, tomato and almond - this was accompanied by a beautifully fresh chilli and peshwari naan bread. It's BYO with no corkage, which is also great.

I've neve actually written a restaurant review before, but was compelled to by this understated curry house. I can honestly say it's the best curry i've had.
