Avoid like the plague. OK, the veggie stuff may be good, but I have just now forced my way through what was supposed to be a Chingli Bhuna, in other words, fresh prawns with special spices served in a DRY sauce. I can only describe it as prawns of dubious origin served up in curry flavoured water, as in WET.

Ultimately, there is nowhere good in Paddington to get a decent curry, apart from the kebab shop formally known as Kebabish on the less bling side of Westway (that's North for the clueless). Their veg + Pilau is transcendentally awesome, nutritious and cheap.

Better still to venture to Drummond Street, just north of Euston Station and experience the best Indian cooking ever. It's much better than than the, frankly, overhyped, Brick Lane.

Wonderful service and excellent food. The atmosphere is warming and the modren look gives you the feeling of a high standard of heigene. Simply the best chicken tikka I have ever had. 10 out of 10.

Excellent vegetarian food, swift and friendly service.

I ordered the vegetarian thali for lunch today, along with a cup of masala tea.

The tea alone was superb - a custom order with freshly-boiled spiced milk.

The thali was a treat - soft, pillowy non-greasy naan, perfectly cooked pilau rice, home-made sabzi in the vegetable samosa, milky home-made yoghurt dip pure Bengali-style. The tarka dall and aloo gobi were competent - decent portions adequately spiced.

Only snag was the salty and oily gravy for the saag paneer. Paneer is salty enough - why add more?

Either way, I'll definitely be back - £11.90 is more than reasonable for such quality cuisine and tasteful decor.
