Finally, real and tasty Mexican in London. The fish tacos are out of this world, if a little on the expensive side. The enchiladas are another favorite and I love the fact that they make their own tortillas on site. The sparse decor makes this better for a casual lunch than a special dinner, but it's worth a visit no matter what. I've been here twice in a row now and I'll be back again and again.

I have no idea where all the bad comments are coming from...for what this restaurant essentially is--a little neighborhood taco joint--the food couldn't be better. Real mole's, excellent taco combinations, good guac, excellent margs and cold beer.

After reading the reviews, I was excited to try this place. The service was average and the food extremely disappointing. The flautas were served warm (not hot) and the salasa verde tasted straight from the tin. The churro's made an attempt to redeem the meal, they were very good. Would not return to this restaurant and we continue our search for decent Mexican fare in London.

Terrible. The service was okay and the food was mediocre at best. Flautas were served warm (not hot)and the salsa verde tasted straight out of a tin. Yuk. The churro's made an attempt to redeem the meal, but not enough for us to return. Too bad. Will continue our search for the ultimate mexican restaurant in London.

I love Mexican food but the vast majority of Mexican restaurants in London have proved very disappointing, serving uninspired micro waved food. Hurrah then for Taqueria a restaurant that serves fresh authentic South American fare. It’s not the place to come for a posh night out, its more like a café than a restaurant but the food is excellent. The portions are smallish like tapas. We enjoyed the tacos, corn tortillas, quesadillas, beans and of course the margaritas. The deserts - honey cake and chocolate ice cream were delicious. Service was friendly and the prices were very reasonable.

I am stunned by the other reviews that claim this is "real" Mexican. Please!! This is not real Mexican. We had high hopes for this restaurant but we were disappointed. The food is not bad, but it's nothing to get excited about. The service has been fine when we visited. Prices are good.

Went for lunch today, and found it to be much better than the reviews below. It was quiet, as it was late afternoon, so the service was friendly and helpful, and the food was cooked to order. The gordita was tasty and well-spiced, as were the chicken tinga tacos. The skirt steak taco was a little chewy, but the quesadillas and charros beans were excellent, as was the vanilla cream pudding. Most dishes were around £4, but margaritas weren't cheap at £6. I can only assume the reviewer bemoaning the absence of guac, enchilladas and flour tortillas is more used to tex-mex, because I thought the food was excellent.

Last night we sought the MEXICAN GRAIL OF HOLY FOOD last night...Taqueria on Westbourne Grove was pretty good..not nearly perfect....Strictly tacos...soups and sides dishes...no enchiladas or burritos or anything like that...
And all corn tortillas...no flour totillas?...the waitiress explained, its southern mexico..where they only grow corn because its too hot to grow wheat...but we're in London I countered...well, we're very influenced on a certain region of mexican cusine...I'm very influenced by the Stones but the Velvet Underground continue to inform my songwriting...she wasnt amused...no guacamole in the place...avocado but no guac...mash it up..give some garlic and lime..moveover and I'll do it myself ....odd..tacos were served unwrapped...open....odd but very tasty...good...nice prickly pear margaritas...fresh ingredients..service was good..not much cheese to be found anywhere...7/10 I suppose that may be generous but in London, for those of us that love Mexican food..its slim and sad pickens. ...the search continues...x

Really very poor. The food is very bland and not good value. The margaritas are excellent, though.
