Taqueria

Last night we sought the MEXICAN GRAIL OF HOLY FOOD last night...Taqueria on Westbourne Grove was pretty good..not nearly perfect....Strictly tacos...soups and sides dishes...no enchiladas or burritos or anything like that...

And all corn tortillas...no flour totillas?...the waitiress explained, its southern mexico..where they only grow corn because its too hot to grow wheat...but we're in London I countered...well, we're very influenced on a certain region of mexican cusine...I'm very influenced by the Stones but the Velvet Underground continue to inform my songwriting...she wasnt amused...no guacamole in the place...avocado but no guac...mash it up..give some garlic and lime..moveover and I'll do it myself ....odd..tacos were served unwrapped...open....odd but very tasty...good...nice prickly pear margaritas...fresh ingredients..service was good..not much cheese to be found anywhere...7/10 I suppose that may be generous but in London, for those of us that love Mexican food..its slim and sad pickens. ...the search continues...x

Really very poor. The food is very bland and not good value. The margaritas are excellent, though.

Went to Taqueria and have to say that the food is grim.It tastes like leather sandwiched between brown paper envelopes with some stale cheese added.The meat tastes like it has actually been transported from mexico. The sevice is okay but it is expensive and I won't be going back there in a hurry.

As a mexican I can said that this is a very good restaurant, the food is very typical you will not find tex-mex food.

The tacos are great, the tostadas are out of this world. I really recommend it. For the kids there are also many things you can order like the chiken tacos and the rice.

Bland, very, very bland. Poor service-one of party’s meals did not arrive till the rest of us nearly finished. Staff did not seem that bothered by this. Very disappointing given the glowing reviews Tacqueria has received.

I'm a huge fan of Mexican food (real Mexican), and the food at Taqueria is very tasty ... if and when it arrives at your table! While the food is very good, the service is nearly non-existent. I have been an avid fan of Cool Chile Co since I first came to London, so I expect better from them. It makes me sad that finally someone has brought Mexican food to London, yet their lack of service could be their downfall.

Amazing, Taqueria is a real Mexican Restaurant, and well I should know, I live there. If your looking to try something different or your a Mexican just feeling home sick (Tacos al pastor!!!), this is the place to go. Went there with my friends (also mexicans) and all of us left the place with a huge smile on our faces.

Good! The food here tastes FRESH! I have eaten at Taqueria three times and I'm anxious to return. Wonderful serviche and fresh tasting colorful tacos. Wonderful and intriguing soup full of triangles of tortilla in a delicious peppery broth which came with two warm melting quesadillas. I don't drink alcohol and the choice of drinks on offer for non-drinkers is refreshing. Also beautiful. Fresh juices in tall glasses. Lovely. On each of my visits I found the service very good. This a place with an informal, friendly atmosphere.
