The Breakfast Club (Soho)

I too am surprised by the poor experiences previous reviewers had. The few times I've been here I've had no problems - the staff have been friendly and efficient, and the food has been very good. Most of the times I've been are for breakfast and the pancake-based ones in particular have been excellent. The portions are pretty big so it's worth breakfasting there if you don't have lunch plans.
It's usually very busy and by 10am there's normally a queue for entry. Yes, the queue is outside on the street as there is no room for people to queue indoors, so be warned. I've not had to wait very long on my visits. One time I went late afternoon and had a very generous sandwich with salad and sides that was a meal on its own.
Oh, and the leggy girl with short blonde hair who works there is really cute. Okay, that's not strictly about the food but as there's no rating for 'attractive staff' I thought I'd mention it here.

Fantastic food! I had the ham so eggsited with choc caramel milkshake and it was divine! Huge amount of cheese and ham with the pancakes and loads of syrup. Great value for money. Given how busy it was (had to wait for a table) service was incredibly fast but I did not feel rushed and like I had to leave. Definitely the place to go for brunch in London!

I must say I'm very surprised at the reviews below. My friend and I had brunch here last Friday. The place was a bustling, great atmosphere, cute interior. The place was almost full but we were given a place straight away. The food was delicious. I had The All American while my friend had the Ham so Eggsited. Both dishes were very tasty. We also shared the Elvis milk shake which was divine. Would definitely go back again.

the worst treatment i have endured in london so far, and at exorbitant prices....upon arrival we were told (not asked) to wait on the street until they clear a table, when we asked for two tables to save the wait yet again told to wait on the street until they were ready...knowing that there is a long walk to other cafes (and being sunday pochini's just around the corner was not open yet) we had to grin and bear it...after being seated we were met with what i can only describe as limp service. i have seen more life in a tramps vest.....upon completion of the mediocre food (butter was seriously in short supply on toast etc) we were informed that as we were a party of six or more we were required to pay a gratuiety (in my limited knoledge i understood to be a voluntary gift for good service)......i am not a habitual moaner. this is first time in my life that i have been so peaved with service that i have gone to the effort of finding a website and complaining...if i save one person from the humiliation of being ordered on to the street until further instruction i will have done a justice......oh, the black pudding was ok though

Hmmm, it's ok. Tries hard to be trendy, decent english and veggie breakfasts, good coffee. But its hot and crowded, the staff seem to be picked on looks rather than a deep commitment to customer care, service is slow (the rule of ten -10 minutes to get a menu, 10 minutes to order, 10 minutes for coffee to arrive, 10 minutes for food to arrive, 10 minutes to eat it and clear off because by then you're just tired of being there). And don't order the cheese and marmite toastie - it's made by a pathological marmite hater who just wants to get as much out of his kitchen as he can, and thinks it should be spread like nutella. Get one at Starbucks.
