This place is great for a pub lunch at the weekend. The staff are chatty and friendly, they're happy to turn on the projector TV for you if you want to watch some sport (e.g. rugby - a welcome break from all the football pubs near Clapham), the drinks are very cheap, and with the completely mismatched furniture the place has a kind of character.

The food is excellent as well, I especially reccommend the fully loaded burgers... last time I was there the barman bet me a free round I couldn't finish he whole dish... sad to say he won, but the burger was delicious.

In the evenings it gets fairly busy, mostly large groups of people, but always with a really great atmosphere (helped in a large part by the good service and friendly staff).

I wouldn't take a date, but definitely worth going along for a bite to eat and a lazy afternoon with some mates.
