Its such a shame. A real shame.

Some of the best shisha in London. Actually, the best I've experienced. But this is where it goes downhill. I do actually return to this place, only due to the quality of the shisha.

The service is THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN. I'm normally so indifferent to surly people, but this place reaches new highest.

Conversations of the ilk: "Table for 2 outside please" "Ask the other lady" "Ok" "Head over to the 'other lady'" Some waiters & waitresses barge past, as if I am not a customer. "Table for two outside" "We don't have any at the moment" Flabbergasted look by me, as there are plenty of empty tables. "Huh? Is there a waiting list" "Yes we already have people on the waiting list" "OK.... So..." No response. I continue, "Do you have space downstairs for shisha then?" "£50 minmum spend" "You have seats outside" "The other people might mind it" God only knows what she means by this. "Ok downstairs then.." "£50 Minimum" "OKKK!"

Then I proceed to wait 20 minutes for my shisha to arrive.

Many similar experiences... If you can handle being spoken to like this then alright, the quality of shisha does make up for it, but its overpriced, and dirty too.

I wish there was another place with this quality of shisha, I would never return here then!

Mamounia restaurant, well well well, where do i start....I called in the same day i was planning to go and was told that there would be live entertainment available....Me and my friends arrived, and there was no live music, untrained staff and a very very dark restaurant. The lights were too low to the point that we could not read our menus and had to use a candle! starters took 20 minutes, and when they arrived, they were a quarter of the plate they were served in, and tasteless. After finishing our so called starters, we ordered our main meals, i ordered the welsh rack of lamb....oh dear, i wish i hadnt......when it arrived, after taking its time, i couldnt cut through the meat and it had a jelly consistency. I held the candlelight to the meat and it was red inside, I specifically asked the manager for my meal to be well done! All in all, it was a rough experience of untrained staff, late and food that was certainly not worth the price it was listed for, i couldnt wait to leave this place.....If you are someone that appreciates good food, i recommend that you do not go anywhere near this place....Mamounia, never again!

Shame the previous review had such a bad time. We had no such problems, but did find the service a little surly and unfriendly. Overall ambience was good though, nice buzz, although I personally found the live music too loud. Had to strain to hear my companion. Food is very nice, especially the lamb tagine and the mezze dishes to start. I would certainly return, even though it is pricier than other places in London.

Last night, I planned to take my friends to a new place to celebrate my new car...We chose Mamounia to enjoy some shisha as well. From the moment of arriving its unprofessional and rude staffs were like a slap on your face. 3 different tables were empty but we were told there is no space and we were impolitely told to go to the opposite restaurant Noura! Apparently all places were reserved for the owner. So I got their card to book the place next time iI want to come down. In less than 5 minutes from my car I called the place and surprisingly i was told they have space upstairs, were we were just told is fully booked!!! So I went back to ahve a word with the manager although he was even worst and extremely unprofessional! He promised us to give a place in 2 minutes and we waited for another 20 mins, while owners 8 empty seats were still unoccupied( for about 40 min)! I was so disappointed and embarrassed front of my friends so left the place immediately...They easily ruined our night that night and I’m sure I won’t go back there ever!

So if you are some Sheikh from Saudi Arabia with a Lambu, i guess they will let u in...They simply refused 3 hot girls with a 2009 BMW...lol!!!

Had to pay a £5 pp cover charge to sit outside for shisha, as well as agreeing to a minimum spend of £25 pp. Turned out not to be a problem however as one shisha and two cocktails cost £60 after cover charge and service

Oh - and had to leave within an hour. We were killing time before a dinner reservation, but in any other circumstance this time limit is ridiculous

Attracts people with Louis Vuitton luggage and Versace sunglasses. Everyone else avoid at all costs - this place is everything that's wrong with london bars / restaurants
