I have visited this restaurant on two occasions and have been quite satisfied with the food and service on both occasions. the tables within the restaurant has been laid out in a very odd fashion so it certainly doesn't have the layout for a quiet dinner. The range of menu is quite extensive and the prices reasonable. My wife really liked the Madras Thali which is a great value for money. I normally stick to few of my favourites but I love the Onion Rava Masala Dosa that they serve. The aloo bonda that i tried was good but not the best. Gobi Manchurian was good. We saw a vegetable pulav/rice served on a adjacent table and thought it looked nice. They also have a selection of beers so although its not in fitting with the whole south indian menu theme its good for those who care. The quantity of the food is particularly generous so an appetizer each + a main course would generally be too much for most people. I have not tasted the "Punjabi/Curry" menu just because I am not sure how well a south indian restaurant can prepare a punjabi style food but I may try it one of these days and post a review. The service is a particular high point, although there is a clear effort to up sell which I think is good for the restaurant and certainly nowhere as pushy as you would find in other places. food is very authentically south indian and there is no hint of mass production, its quality food and quality service, you will enjoy your experience !!

I went to buy take away on Sunday evening in the Tooting High Street branch. I was told the food will take 15 to 20 minutes. It was more like 40 minutes in total even though the place was half empty. When I asked for receipt when paying I was told I don’t need one and that I will get it when I come to pick up the food. Yet again I had to ask for it when my food finally arrived. Good that I did as the waiter only than realized that they charged me two meals I did not order and did not give me things that I did order. Because of the mess up half of the food was cold by the time I finally got to eat it. The vegetable kofta was hard as rock, the Mushroom Masala was incredibly spicy and the rest of the food average.
Staff could try to be a bit more attentive and polite. I will not be coming back.

They have opened a branch in Tooting, which is fantastic. Wonderful
fresh dishes, and incredibly cheap. Probably the best value in London.

It is probably the best restaurant in the UK. Just taste like food that i had in india. I loved the dosa. 1st class and service was top class which was accompanied by the instrumental classical musical which just made it the best. I will visit again and again as the tase and flavour is just SUPERB.
