Went here last Friday for an early dinner and i was impressed with the place.
The food was tasty and was cooked in an open kitchen so all nicely cooked.
We had scallops and a soup to start with. Then the seabass and steak for main. We shared a pannacotta and poached pear for dessert. All weve lovely. Service was good too - very friendly. Had a beer and a diet coke and it all came to around £50.
It was well worth it. I live locally so will definetely go back

This restaurant has a cosy, friendly atmosphere with quirky touches like chunky, natural wood furniture and a mosaic fireplace featuring broken crockery with handles still intact. Our first visit was on Valentine's night when a three-course set meal was offered for £29.95. The food was original, well presented and delicious, and the service was friendly and efficient. In an area abounding with restaurants of all nationalities it's nice to find a "special occasion" restaurant offering something different and we'll certainly be going again soon.

This is my 'local' restaurant, although I am escaping Croydon soon. This will be one of the few things about that town that I will miss.
I've eaten there several times with my wife and family over the last 4 years and am always impressed with the food (especially the fillet steak), wine (especially the Don David Cabernet Sauvignon) and service (the waitresses must come from a modelling agency !!)
There is also a bar upstairs which, once again is a haven in the middle of Croydon's noisy and crowded adolescent bar scene.
I would highly recommend this place - its not the cheapest in town (probably about £70 for 2 with wine), but then you get what you pay for sometimes.

Very nice gastropub. Always good service. Food generally nice. Reasonable prices. Nice for a romantic meal or in a group. Gets busy at weekends. Great atmosphere. Warm and inviting. Definitely recommended if in croydon.

The food is quite nice but slightly overpriced for the type of restaurant (gastropub). It has great ambience in the restaurant area with lots of candlelight and furniture that is made from logs (you feel a bit like you're in a Hobbit's house). However, the log chairs can tend towards the uncomfortable. Also to note that the area near the bar does get very crowded and noisy on Friday and Saturday nights and this can infringe a bit on the restaurant area. Overall though for Croydon it's a great restaurant with a nice crowd.
