Manzoni

During the last year-and-a-half I had been in Manzoni on a number of occasions, frequently with my business friends. In fact I was taking there for a meal all my foreign business visitors (including Italians) and their comments made me always proud for my choice of restaurant.

Excellent food with innovative and changing menu, wine list to satisfy most demanding connoisseurs, friendly service of waitresses with cosmopolitan background, relaxed but elegant ambience – all that makes Manzoni’s unique character.

Thanks to Manzoni I was taken to top restaurants in various countries – on my visits to them my foreign business friends, with their competitive minds, tried to match Manzoni and were choosing the best restaurants in their cities.

Being an Italian and working in the area I was suprised that this restaurant never was listed on this web-site.I agree to what ever said in previus review, and would add that ravioli are brilliant(fresh pasta,al dente) and that the whole thing is real value for money!

This has become the office's favourite Italian lunch venue. The set lunch with two courses and a glass of wine for just under £10 is absolutely outstanding. The chef's risottos are as good as i've tasted, and anything with chicken livers (or indeed baby octopus) is always delicious. The full menu is extensive, imaginative and mouthwatering, the profiteroles are a semi-religious experience, and the service is always charming. They do struggle to serve within the hour, but I've yet to eat a disappointing meal there in many many visits. And what's an extra twenty minutes, anyway? For the best atmosphere, ask for a table up at the back under the glass roof.
