Found this place by accident whilst looking for a pre theatre meal. Brilliant! Food was lovely, staff were friendly and relaxed. Excellent value at £8.99 for all you can eat. Have booked it for 12 of us to eat there on Thursday prior to going to see Bourgeois and Maurice at the Soho Theatre. Will report back on how they do!

There simply aren't words to describe the rudeness and aggressiveness of the staff. I left stunned.

Gone down hill price and service wise- I took a vegan friend there for Saturday lunch- but the only meal on offer was eat-all-you-like for £8.90- we really didn't want a massive buffet and we also wanted cake (not included in buffet, costs £4.50 each), so we asked if, as a favour we could just have a single meal- like they do in the week- the guy refused even though we were the only people in the whole place and had been so for half and hour. Also, he could barely speak English, took 15 minutes to make a cup of coffee and his colleague brought our cake (£4.50 each) in plastic take away containers even though we were eating in. The meal ended up costing £16 each and, apart from the company of my lovely friend and the food-still good- was just depressing.
I remember when the place first started and although it was always pretty expensive you felt like you were being served by people that were actually involved (maybe were vegan themselves) and understood (or maybe had enough power in the company to be allowed to understand) customer service. Now it just feels like another crap, inflexible, unhosptable profit-grabbing business employing untrained staff who are probably really badly paid.
I am a vegan and would love to say I'll go back just to support them but I probably won't. I really hope that this feedback somehow gets back to the business and they change their practice, cos I'd rather see change than a vegan restaurant go under.

Having walked passed Vitaorganic many times I decided to take two visiting veggie friends to lunch there. The food was very tasty and I liked the large selection of vegan drinks. I particulary enjoyed the use of coconut juice in their warm drinks.
The food was alittle expensive for what it was but I suppose that is to be expected in central London. Despite agreeing with reviews suggesting that at times the staff are somewhat rude , I will be going back for a second try because the atmosphere was nice and I want to try the yummy food again.

I also found the staff quite grumpy. My family and I had never eaten here before so they had to explain the system of buying food (£2 per portion). They did this in a really impatient way. I had always wanted to eat in a raw vegan restaurant (being vegan myself) and we all love Wholefoods so were very excited. I supose I'm not used to London prices, but 4 cakes and 2 coffees came to over £21. Yikes!!!
I was very excited about going because I'd heard how good it was (we all traveled to London especially for my Christmas present) but wouldn't go back again by choice. I think some fun and friendly, smily staff would have made all the difference.

DISAPPOINTED.
I spied this place by accident last week and thought, oh this looks right up my street! But as lovely as the food and the decor was, it was SUCH a shame that the staff were so incredibly rude. It really made it difficult to fully enjoy my food because not only had the girl behind the counter been disagreeable, but all the customers in there seemed miserable as well. And I can only imagine that this was due to the poor service. I had nicer dinner ladies in school. And that's saying something.
I heard from a friend that this wasn't always the case, that it used to be a great place to go. I hope whoever manages VitaOrganic reads this and does something about it because apparently it's losing faithful customers due to this problem.
Why have a gorgeous little gem of a restaurant in a great location, serving some of the best vegetarian food in London, and then hire unpleasant staff? Sort it out! And while you're at it, get rid of the canteen tables and source some prettier ones.

First off, this place is quite a find! It basically specialises in raw food, so if that's what you're into then this place is for you. The restaurant itself is quite small, so going there with a large group is a definite no-no. There is a (one visit only) buffet which costs around £5 in the window and the rest of the food is displayed at the front on the counter, including a mixture of 'raw' food dishes, which look like extra special salads, and hot dishes. My boyfriend and I went with two family members and as we were both new to this restaurant my Uncle had to show us the drill.
The drinks are displayed on the chalkboard above the counter and are made up of different superhealthy fruit or vegetable juices, lassi's and smoothies packed with vitamins (to order a hot drink you have to follow five steps, as displayed on the board, but this was a bit daunting for me being a first-timer). It would be a good idea to choose your drink first as this may take some time, then all you have to do is tell the guy behind the counter what you want on your plate (or if you are having the buffet). Each spoon costs £1-£1.30 and you will probably want about 4 spooonfuls on your plate. The cooked food included chick pea curry, which had a lovely mild liquorice taste to it, moussaka, mushroom stroganoff and spelt pasta. You pay there and then, take your food with you and they bring the drinks over to you. The food was different, pleasant and very healthy as it is vegan and organic with nothing 'unnatural' added to the food, including sugar and salt etc. We had two slices of 'raw' cake as well, which was a bit pricey at £4.50 per slice. I will be going there again and if you are a vegan or a raw foodie I would recommend you to go there too.
