One of the best restaurant in North London, excellent service every time,

delicious food, great value for money. We have been back many times and never found a fault. If someone finds a fault with it, then they must have been in the wrong restaurant.

My husband and I eat there regularly and have never yet had a bad meal or service. Every time we found the food tasty, well cooked and good value for money and the service prompt and friendly. I really fail to understand the bad reviews as our experience (at least 7 or 8 visits), has always been completely positive and enjoyable. It sounds as if they are talking about a completely different restaurant from the one mentioned.

I appreciate there are a few people who had bad experiences here. Me and the missus went on saturday night and had a fantastic meal. Really nice food, good fast and friendly service and good value for money.

We had the set platter, and couldnt finish it because it was so much food, and with a drink each it cost us less then £20 each.

I will be back there as soon as possible.

Have eaten at Izgara on three occasions, and always had a pleasant time. It's not the finest dining in the cosmos - I doubt that many suburban Turkish restaurants would consider themselves to be haute cuisine - but the food I've had there has been uniformly tasty, well-cooked, attractively presented and served with cheerful professionalism. The the mixed meze comes beautifully presented, and the veggie mains make for great comfort food (the moussaka and spinach and feta pancakes are very, very more-ish...). Can't comment on other people's experiences... but Izgara comes highly recommended by me.

Ate here last night on the basis of good reviews on this site, I have never been more disappointed with a restaurant in my life. I hate writing negative reviews, however I feel positive comments on this site are completely misleading and it is important to warn people! The staff were completely oblivious to the needs of the customer and did not even ask if we wanted a drink, we had to ask them! The food was simply awful in anyones terms, had a mixed platter and the chicken was mostly bone and very dry without much flavour, the lamb was grissly and lacking any flavour, the sauces they provided were also horrible. The houmus and tzatziki we ordered to complement the meal were ridiculously expensive, the bread they brought over was soggy and in general It was a very unpleasant dining experience. The restaurant itself is small, but has potential to be nice, it is a shame it is completely ruined by the rude and unfriendly staff and poor quality of food. Go to the kebab house next door if you are looking for a half decent kebab!

Expensive, horrible food and terrible service is all you can expect from this restaurant. We arrived to a fairly overstaffed restaurant for only 4 tables eating with at least one waiter/ess per table, however they were still unable to cope. Instead of taking our drinks order the waitresses were busy flirting with two police men who were waiting for their takeaway order. We finally got our drinks and ordered our food which was foul. It was completely inedible and I would have preferred to have ordered it from the takeaway kebab house located two doors down. After trying to stomach as much as we could of the food, we overheard the couple on the table next to us complaining, so instead of clearing our plates away and giving us the bill, all of their focus was on them. Finally when the couple left we thought we may be able to alert the staff that we wanted the bill. All four waiters/esses ran into the back laughing about the complaint, rather than sorting the bill out for us. Worst restaurant I've ever been in.

This restaurant really has it all. Incredible quality food, a great atmosphere, superb service and all at a very reasonable price.

Go to Izgara. You wont be disappointed!

My first trip to Izgara last night - it was excellent value for money and very fresh, tasty food. Service was attentive, very friendly but not obsequious. The set menu for 2 at £16.95 would have fed 3 or 4 and we brought home a doggy bag. Will go again when we can.

Booked a table easily enough, the gentleman I spoke to handled things well. Arrived on time at 8.30pm. Waited more than 10 minutes for our table in a heaving, small and noisy restaurant. Waited another ten minutes -still no menus. After half an hour we got up and left. Apalling lack of service - management couldn't care less, so it seems. Others around us were hollering for service without any response.

Reviewed neutrally in terms of scores. Try the Turkish grill places in Finchley - much better.

the main courses are absolutely perfect with a gorgeous marinade and put on the barbeque for just the right amount of time. the chicken kebab and kofte are probably the best in all of london or uk ( i have yet to find a better quality kebab and i have been around a lot of the best restaurants in london as i eat out all the time) the price is nice and i would rate this tops, i travel 4 miles just to get a kebab from izgara because the quality is sooooooo perfect
