Hiro is lovely, delicious food and reasonably priced. The staff are probably the most welcoming in London! i definitely recommend it! The duck was yummy... usually whenever i go to a chinese restaurant the crispy duck is a bit too crispy so that it tastes like its burnt, but this was just right and so tasty!

Been to this restaurant twice now. Lovely food. Recommend the softshell crab, steamed dim sum, mongolian lamb, and salt & pepper cod (generaous sized serves!).

The staff were friendly, however service itself was really slow on both occasions, despite the restaurant nobeing busy. Would come back again. They also deliver to the local area. for two people with two starters and a shared main with rice & water ... around £22.

Excellent food with homely and welcoming staffs. The best chinese food I have tried in UK and it make us feel like going back home again. (We are from Singapore).

This is a fantastic restaurant with the friendliest staff that I have met. We used to live just round the corner and would come for dinner almost every week. Now that we've moved out of London we really miss the Crispy Duck (probably the best we've ever had) and the Mongolian Lamb and the Seafood Chow Mein and ... basically, everything on the menu is delicious. And did I mention the staff? Although the food is amazing, it is the staff that really make this restaurant. A real gem in St John's Wood. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

On the strength of other reviewers we thought we would give this a try.

Arrived quite late (9.00) and the place was pretty empty. The staff were very welcoming and this made up for the lack of atmosphere (a common theme amongst Chinese restaurants I feel).

We decided to go for the crispy duck - excellent, nice and crisp and not fatty. This was followed by the steamed sea bass. This was really excellent and I would recommend this to others.

We decided to be really piggy and also had toffee apples (I am not sure they were on the menu but we got them just the same).

At the end of the meal we asked for directions to the nearest tube. As we were the last customers in the restaurant they very kindly offered to give us a lift tothe station - how friendly is that!

If I am up in that part of town again I would most definitely return.

Forget the likes of Hakka-San and Royal China, this is the restaurant in London for simply some of the most delightful home-style cooking to be found. As a keen enthusiast in Chinese cuisine Hiro serves the best char-siu barbecue pork in London alongside some other very fine choice dishes. Taste it to believe it. Their soft-shell crab was cooked to perfection, just right without being too dry, and full of flavour with the chilli adding just the right edge. This family run restaurant only opened about 9 months ago and I would say is certainly one to put on the gastronomic map. The staff are always courteous, friendly and prompt, a sign of good service in my book. The decor is well done, traditional chinese yet at the same time a modern feel providing a nice intimate atmosphere found lacking in bigger restaurants. An excellent highly recommended restaurant, definitely one to try.

This family-run restaurant serves very nice food and offers a warm welcome at very good prices. I personally love the steamed seabass, and tofu with seafood soup. So delicious! As a Chinese, I feel I have meals at my home. Highly recommended!

Just a gem of a place to have in our neighbourhood! Staff are geniunely happy to welcome you and ensure you are well served. We savoured the salt and pepper chicken wings, the superbly slow cooked richly marinated mongolian lamb, and were agog at the whopping whole steamed sea bass scattered with spring onion and ginger (which they deftly de-boned at the table for us). I'll echo the surprise of other reviewers that the place wasn't crammed to capacity (other far inferior offerings in the area attract good trade). This place is way too good for chinese whispers - pass it on!!
