The Market Thai

They have some bad days with regards client facing skills, but all in all especially when i take into account i eat out 7 days a week, The Market Thai is probably the best for that type of cuisine. I would go everyday if i could but i wouldn't want to get tired of it.

Visited for the first time. Food was fantastic and I have to say that I found the service was very friendly and efficient. Food reasonably priced, will definately come back again.

I'm a regular at market thai, and while the service is blunt and a bit hit and miss, the food is very good, and the value for money is outstanding!

I used to be a regular at the Market Thai until today when they decided to forego any client-facing skills.

I ordered my regular and was surprised when a plate with totally the incorrect food landed before me. The kitchen staff refused to redo my correct order, stating that I (the customer) was in fact in the wrong.

Market Thai has never been the greatest on service with a smile, but lately it has become increasingly worse.

Have some of the best thai food at very cheap prices in a wonderfull decor! Great for a romantic dinner in two or a big group of friend.

I go there regulary - consistently good food! Could have a better choice of wine by glass so I suggest you go for a bottle. You won't be disappointed.

I used to frequent the Maket Thai fairly often when living in Portobello. Maybe visiting 10 times (plus lots more Take-Aways) over 3 years. The staff there are youngish and friendly, and the food's very good, not the best, but not the worst by a long long way! The restaurant itself has good character, and I used to expect Mongol rebels to burst thru' the door at any moment. The views onto the market street outside (it's on the first floor) are unrivalled as the area is always buzzing and there are often interesting things happening in the bar below...

If you're in the area, the Market Thai definately warrants a visit for a nice easy time. Enjoy!
