Top marks to the staff! Very friendly and helpful, which makes such a change from so many other restaurants. Why do restaurants forget that the attitude of the staff is just as important as the quality of the food? Little Bay has the food, too. Excellently presented, decent sized servings, but we should all keep quiet about their prices!

They deserve to do well. I shall return...again, and again.

I had a great evening here. It was busy, and naturally the service was a tad slow, but not that you'd notice! the house wine was excellent value, and I think a bill of not much more than £60 including 2 bottles of wine is excellent value for 4 people! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone on a budget who enjoys their food.

We went based on a recomendation from a friend and, as its a cosy little place, thought it would be good for Valentine's Day. I hate to say it, but they let us down quite badly.

We arrived at 8.15 and had to wait 10-15 minuntes before we were taken to our table. There were also quite a few other people waiting, some of whom were unhappy, having waited quite a while. At this stage we just thought, "Its a busy night, we'll give them the benefit of the doubt".

Once seated we ordered our food and drinks with no problem and were able to soak up the atmosphere. This was the one plus point of the evening - the decor, live opera and closely packed tables really do make for a great vibe. Unfortunately we didn't receive our wine until after we'd finished our starters, so were unable to relax and absorb the surroundings. The water we asked for simply never turned up.

Then the main course...I plumped for braised lamb and my wife opted for a rib-eye steak. They didn't turn up until 9.45 and when they did the steak was cremated, when it was meant to be medium. We sent it back and 20 minutes later it had still not returned. We simply opted for cancelling it and settling the bill up to leave.

To be fair, the manager only charged us for our wine and was apologetic, and I would give it another chance, based on the food, value for money and atmosphere, but they made a complete cock up for what seemed like an awful lot of unhappy people that night. Valentine's night is always busy, so please, next time get some extra staff in or don't take so many bookings if you can't handle them!! Other people might not be so forgiving...

The end result is that I shall be staying in next February 14th...its cheaper and you're guaranteed good service!

Little Bay you made me proud! I booked a table for a group of 20 and the staff were fantastic. We took advantage of the £9.85 3 course + wine offer and it was great. Our waitress introduced herself to us letting us order in our own time and made us feel very comfortable indeed. Being a regular to the Little Bay on York Road I was keen to visit this newer addition to the Little Bay group and i fully recommend it - its a little London gem. Thanks guys for a lovely night.

What a little treasure this turned out to be. A group of us descended on this little restaurant and were delighted from the moment we walked in. It is small and quaint, with incredibly friendly staff.

We were given a little booth and presented with a lovely and surprisingly inexpensive menu. I read the previous reviews before going and have to admit to being nervous about what the food would be like....all I can say is that everyone in the group was delighted and surprised with what they had choosen, I went for the crab starter followed by the duck...both were fantastic, incredibly tasty and very well cooked (I'm very fussy with meat, so this is no mean feat!). We did have a little confusion with orders as the waiters did not speak English as their first language, but it certainly did not spoil the experience, they were apologetic when required, resolving the error quickly and efficiently staying friendly and charming. If I lived more locally I would definately go here regularily, if only to feel charmed and warmed by the atmosphere.

The food, considering we were a table of 20 was surprisngly good, I sometimes think it unfair to critisise a restaurant with those sort of numbers but as people had mentioned the opera singer during dinner was just fab. Very enjoyable evening, and to think although I have lived here for around 25 years I have never noticed it!

My boyfriend and I decided to go here after reading all of the the fabulous reviews. Sure, its theatrical and different, and the food is cheap, but you certainly get what you pay for in terms of quality and service - i.e not much. The staff are very friendly and lovely, but not actually great at being waiters/waitresses. We are not devout foodies and certainly not snobs, but I would not come back here unless I was in a large group of people wanting a cheap feed that's not in a pub. And that's all it is - a feed and not good food.

The Restaurant was great value, and the opera singing excellent. They have opera singers there 6 nights a week. very impressive even if you don't necessarily like the music, it's real live entertainment. good food but not that amazing. I liked the polenta. the other dishes are not that different to other restaurant. Oh I forgot, the decor is really fascinating, little alcoves and boudoirs with curtains and baroque atmosphere. Staff are great and very friendly/relaxed.
