Little Bay (Wandsworth Bridge Road)
your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
I had heard mixed reports from people before booking this place, but thought I would try it for myself and am so glad i did!
My boyfriend and I went for dinner on Friday night and the place was practically empty which didn't forbode well! However, the food and the service was brilliant! For £43, we had a bottle of red wine, two starters (crab choux and I had butterfly king prawns) and two main meals (he had a t-bone steak and i had the goats cheese frittatta). The food was really good - my only complaint is that the butterfly king prawns seemed to be of very poor quality and simply tasted of scampi but the main meals were really good and the service was faultless!
I was also expecting opera singers and 'pornographic' toilets but apparantly it is a different branch of the restaurant and not this one. We were looking forward to the singers so we were a bit disappointed about this. But all in all, a lovely relaxing meal for two which was extremely good value! Thanks Little Bay!

Great atmosphere, cheap and very good food, cooked to perfection. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. It is perfect for parties and groups - they can always accomodate you. I love it and visit regularly. The two upstairs tables are intimate and good for a date! Interesting decor but it's such a fun place - I highly recommend it!!

5 of us had a late lunch yesterday (Sunday) . We have already been to the Croydon Little Bay and as our relative lives in Fulham we decided to give this one a go. The place was totally empty so we were a little concerned but we needn't have been. Although the waiter sometimes struggled with understanding us as English was not his first language the service was good. The food was really good with fresh vegetables and dare I say it much better than the Croydon restaurant. even though it is pretty good there too. We couldn't fault it in any way and where else in Fulham can you get a starter for 1.95? Do not know what it would be like when busy as there was not a lot of space but as we had the whole restaurant to ourselves everything was great .

We had wanted to try this place out for some time after reading the reviews on this website and hearing good things from friends who had been.
We stopped off last night on a whim and were seated by the window, the place is unusually decorated to say the least with what appeared to be a gold rowing boat suspensed from the ceiling and very large high back chairs. I quite liked it though, very different to the usual restaurants you see in Fulham. The only negative was the smell of cigarette smoke which filled the room, fortunately this will soon end come the ban in July.
After entering such a grand place we were expecting good things from the menu which was surprisingly cheap £7.95 for a main course. We both chose the plaice with was served on a potato pancake with leaks. We also ordered chips and vegetables to accompany the dish.
Initially the plaice was very tasty however once you dug deeper into the potato and leeks the taste became more oily and the overall flavour of the fish was masked with an insipid sunflower oil flavour ruining the dish. The chips however (cooked in goose fat) were deliciously crispy and salty. Yes the food is very reasonably priced but I think we would rather pay another couple of pounds to get a tasty plate of food.
Perhaps we chose the wrong dish, perhaps not but we won't be back to try anything else on the menu. Disappointing.

Have been here twice. First we were quite impressed (early 2006) when the place seemed pretty new (just opened I think). Lamb I remember was good value; free champagne etc etc. We went away thinking this place offers good value. Second time several months later (with guests) the waiter (manager of the place I think) was completely off his trolly and sat down at our table to join in conversation. He accidently spilled his wine over one of the guests' arm and didn't seem to care too much. This was all while friends of the place made a racket with guitars, also pretty trollied. Really, remembered being quite impressed the first time but have not returned since the second. I wonder why?

Such a fantastic place! I recently moved in to the area and decided to try it one night. Four friends and I went along on a saturday night and got a table. It was great. Nice atmosphere, amazing value, huge menu and a great specials board. The service has got to be some of the best in London as well. It makes such a refreshing change to be treated well, with great food, in a fun vibrant restaurant with such reasonable prices. Compared to other eateries on the road it's so much better. Brilliant value, great service and it really is a must!

I recently discovered Little Bay as a jewel when a friend moved to the area and we decided to go to dinner on a saturday night without a reservation. There were a couple of small groups enjoying birthday celebrations and the atmosphere was upbeat without being rowdy. Food was delicious and menu interesting. When the bill came we thought they must have made a mistake. I haven't had quality food at these prices in years.

Absolutely awful. One of the most over-rated places in London. Bread was stale, wine terrible, quality of all the food -especially the meat was poor. Sleazy waiter, hideous decor, cramped seating. The space is far too small for the poor opera singers - feels like there are singing right in your face. Does not live up to the good value, fun image at all. Fish and chips at home would have been much better value and much more fun.
