Oh dear. What a disappointment today's visit turned out to be.

They have stopped serving the Thai menu. According to our waiter it was too costly to have two sets of chefs when the Thai menu was not ordered from as frequently as the Indian.

We were given a choice of beer and a wine list, but they had 'run out' of our chosen beverages.

Every plate and glass used for service was chipped.

The food was overall quite pleasant. The service could have been better, our main was brought out while we were still eating starters and the naan brought out when we were nearing the end of our meal.

The attraction of Cardamom Rooms was the choice of either Thai or Indian, now it is simply a reasonable Indian restaurant in superb surroundings. Sadly, I think they have missed a great opportunity.

Went along on a Wednesay night, only 3 weeks after opening and although there were a few people dining, it did feel slightly clinical with too many staff hovering. We chose from the Thai menu; the food was very well presented, tasty and just about the right sort of quantities. I would perhaps expand the Thai menu selection but it is early days. Also watch the dish with low edges as your food spills on to the table far too easily. Definitely would go back.
