Friends

A brief story to illustrate what a fine place this is. Last week I turned up for lunch but the restaurant was shut. My fault rather than theirs. The adjacent takeaway was open. They opened the restaurant section for I and my colleague! The cod (in Matzo meal) was not only delicious but superbly cooked as indeed was everything else. Courtesy, flexibility, outstanding cuisine, an overall very enjoyable experience and fine value too. Unhesitatingly recommended. This is fish and chips at a higher level in North London and where the competition in terms of quality and value is tough – but Friends remains THE benchmark – and has done during the past 18 months.

Best take away fish and chips in London, huge portions great chips. they serve in boxes so that the fish stays crispy for longer. I would definitely recommend it. good value for money.

Went to Friends last week for my daughters birthday, just four of us and what a good nite we had, the staff couldnt have been friendlier and the food was beautiful, we had a selection of starters, all lovely, and all had fish for our mains. it was out of this world. I would 100% recommend...

This place does amazing fish and chips. You get your takeaway fish in a box so it stays nice and crispy and the portion sizes are huge. I think its the best chippy I have found in London. If you eat in its also very nice with helpful staff and great service.
