your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne

I cannot describe the disappointment....we booked there for Valentine's Day;we booked for 20:30- we were there on time- good atmosphere, they served champagne...nice music ...we thought it will be a good night...not the case unfortunately...we were waiting for 2 hours to be served...by 22:30 we served the starter....people were just leaving without paying because the staff didnt care....so at around 22:30 we left ourselves...no questions asked since no one really cared...what sort of restaurant is this?I dont think it should be advertised...you should just visit the place when u are in camden shopping...but dont go for dinner u might end up eating kebab on your way home....

What a disaster this place is, It started well enough, a touch pricey drinks-wise but bearable although the barman took around ten minutes to bring himself to serve me despite there only being myself and one other at the bar, our friends arrived and we ordered food which was devastatingly overpriced and unfortunately, really badly cooked. nothing like what I'd imagined from the menu, it seemed as though the Cuban chef's had been sacked and a bunch of dinner ladies (no offense meant) put in thier place to follow recipe cards and reheat plates of "spicy" potato wedges....lovely.

I had the Seafood Paela, the portion was too small, almost a tenner for what is basically a plate of rice, you expect the plate to be full, which it was most definately not, Also it tasted like rice with an asda seafood variety pack thrown in halfway through cooking, and not much else. I can't comment on how anybody elses food tasted but it all looked bad. One of our friends is genuine Cuban, I think he enjoyed it the least, stating in no uncertain terms that this restaurant was about as Cuban as a prawn cracker. All of this would have been fine to some extent, but then it came to the service which was ATROCIOUS. We asked for three glasses of water during our meal, we then waited almost ten minutes before we asked again, only to be met with a look of disgust.

the waitress stormed off and returned with TWO glasses of what was quite clearly tap water (we were charged premium rate for mineral but more on the bill in one tick). My friend asked for more black beans in his rice at the start of the meal, it didn't return until after everyone had finished, and we were eating slowly out of politeness. I could go on about the state of the food and the service but I'll make a final point with the bill, It arrived and I noticed that there was two chicken meals on there when there had only been one person who ate chicken, so i went through every item and discovered four extra drinks that had never been ordered, several starters, an extra main course and a whole set of cocktails when nobody had drank even one!

we asked for a copy of the menu and worked out that we had been overcharged nearly 60 pounds ontop of what we'd ordered. when confronting the sullen waitress with this fact, she didn't apologise, simply snatching the reciept from us and wandering around for another 15-20 minutes before chatting to her friend, grabbing a biro and crossing a few things out on our receipt and then wandering back to our table. We looked at the items again and tried to decipher what we were paying for. It seemed as though she'd made it up on the spot. Then, she took the receipt back, crossed out the amended total and added another 7 or 8 pounds mumbling something about meal sizes (which were cr*p) before handing it back to us. It then took almost another quarter of an hour sitting there watching her before she decided to process our card.

Never go here, It's the worst place I've been to eat in London.

The moment you step into this place, you feel like you taken a flight to a cuban bar, In cuba. This is the feeling me and my friend had at the time.

The menu is something totally different, the food was far too bland, and there weren't even a single cuban drink on there. My friend didn't seem to mind all that much but for my point of view, it's a total let down. I myself am Cuban, so i know what should be on a menu. They didn't even have the basics. I came here in hope of giving my friend a taste of Cuba. Just like many of the reviewers here say. Only a clueless individual would overlook this place flaws.

I must say tho, the service was pretty good. but this is not enough to cover their imperfections.

Go elsewhere

I had a first cocktail, rosa loca, and found it as sweet as sirup and as alcoholic as fresh water. Tough luck. Then a friend ordered me a mojito: pure lemonade with few mint leaves. Never ever have I had so miserable cocktails! Priced 6£ each by the way... I complained to the barman but he refused to add any alcohol to my drinks, so much for the service... And as for the food, kitchen was closed at 9.30pm, although i don't regret missing it. One thing was really good though... the reggae music on the outside terrace, but it was coming from a nearby little jamaican shop...

Great location, terrible place.

Here's a tip - if you go to a Cuban restaurant, and the menu doesn't include a Cuban sandwich, and your well-meaning waitress has never even heard of it, it's not a real Cuban restaurant. Putting pictures of Che Guevera all over the walls simply does not make it so. Split nachos with my wife, she got an enchilada, I got a burger. All done well, but £40 for that and a couple of drinks? Clearly geared for clueless tourists.

Here's a tip - if you go to a Cuban restaurant, and there's no Cuban Sandwich on the menu, and your waitress has never heard of it - it's not a Cuban restaurant. Just because you put a bunch of Che Guevara posters on the wall doesn't make it so. This placed would be torched in Miami for having such pretentions. Had a Guinness and a burger, wife had a margarita and a wrap, maybe an appetitzer, whole thing came to £40. Clearly geared for clueless tourists.

oh my god, what a brilliant find, tucked away in the middle of Camden market, an oasis of fun and food. We had tapas to share and really fab cocktails too. Friendly staff and the bar man who made my drink was cute.

Very busy on Saturday so you may have to wait-- well worth it though.
