Food not as advertised on groupon coupon, tapas starters were ok but the so called paella main course for two to share was a tasteless stodgy plate of rice, green peas, 1 prawn and 3 very small cubes of chicken. Although several red wines were listed only one was available, was not worth the money even with a voucher, certainly wouldn't recommend or go back.

We were supposed to celebrate a birthday party, went there one week earlier booked a table, gave our phone number and obviously expected when the day comes to go there and have our table ready for us. It didn't happen. When we went (12 people) there was no booking made for us, it was very disappointing. So not only they didn't book our table but they were rude and didn't try to do anything to redeem themselves.

Save your money!!! So disappointed with this place
Wish I had read more reviews before spending the end of our chilled Sunday here. Utter joke, problematic from the word go but gave the staff and restaurant the benefit of the doubt but they proceeded to disappoint. No food for 45 minutes as they had technical difficulties with the kitchen and totally forgot about us. Only to be told by two different bar staff that drinks were free then having to argue with the most cocksure arrogant bar manager ever that we were leaving and not paying for the food we never received or the cocktails we were comped only to be asked OUTSIDE by him!!
Do not waste your hard earned money,

We purchased a deal for the Cuban through Group-on and I must admit that it was regretted right from the start. While the waiter was pleasant, the service was slow - often there was no one serving in the restaurant with all staff downstairs in the bar. Consequently, after asking to pay the bill we had to wait for 30 minutes to pay it, without a staff member in sight it was tempting just to leave.
The food was appalling. Greasy, flavourless and not very appetising. I would not recommend this venue for food. It seemed to have a good atmosphere in the bar and they were playing live music so for a drink the venue might be ok...

Unbelievably dissapointing! We came there with a voucher for 9 tapas dishes and a pincher of sangria. We had to wait 20 minutes to be asked what we wished and received our pitcher of sangria. the pitcher was not more than half pint, considering also the ice cubes in it, which was not more than 2 small glasses of sangria. The food ordered came wrongly after an hour waiting for it, after another 15 minutes it came right, but all it was, was a pure joke. to describe it was in all together 1 tiny mushroom, 5 little prawns, 2 chicken nuggets, 2 half pitta breads filled with cheese and ham, 3 small meatballs, 2 spoons of fried potato with original salsa sauce from Doritos, 4 calamaries, 2 spoons of chorizo and a small bowl of Doritas original with the sauce some chilly, cheese and a spoon of avocado sauce. We had to literally half the wee mushroom and the meatballs. All the food seemed to come from the packaging from Asda or Sainsbury. What took over an hour to cook? We both were still hungry afterwards and the service in all together was poor and sad. The staff was unfriendly and rather chatted and cleaned tables, ignoring other people waiting for service and food. To even think of charging £16, 90 for that, is an insult to the intelligence of human race. Thankfully I got my money back, but I will NEVER set my foot in their door!

Terrible dining experience.
- We ordered 9 tapas dishes, the bulk of which were deep fried, oily, luke warm and tasted like they had been prepared 2 weeks ago. Very disappointing food.
- Service was poor. Of the 4 staff upstairs, no one greeted us and they all continued to chat, clean glasses or put away cutlery. 15 minutes after being seated no one had offered to take a drinks order so, again, we had to walk over to the chatting staff, and again after that for any other query. Food did come out rather quickly, but see above.
- toilets were simply disgraceful- not worth describing.
Granted, we were using a Groupon voucher, but there is no excuse for getting tapas so horribly wrong nor for such poor service and facilities.
I would definitely not recommend this place, even if using a voucher.

The restaurant was seriously disappointing, from the food portions to the service to the attitude from staff! We were a large table and generally thought they would take good care of us, WRONG! We ordered at 7.30 but didn't get our dishes till 9!!! With most of the dishes not even close to what was actually ordered, even still the potion sizes of the tapas were tiny. We were recommended 6 tapas for £23 between two is sufficient however we all felt you need at least 9 but didn't even bother trying to order more. Many "6 tapas" orders came as 5 to which we informed our waitress about whom casually strolled over half hour later decided to tell us the kitchen was closed and they couldn't give us our 6th dish. A discount was offered in their defence but doesn't in any way contribute to the "great dining experience". Further still I was PUBLICALLY accused of not paying for cocktails even thought I had a receipt with the date, time and "the Cuban" written on the top as did they!!!
It's such a shame because when you are kicked off your table for them to turn the restaurant into a bar/club the music and vibe was good! We only stayed because
it was for a friends birthday.

Been to the Cuban in Canterbury and wanted to try this while in Camden. Still had great atmosphere and wasn’t sure why the reviews were so bad. I ate in the upstairs restaurant and had drinks downstairs before and after so maybe the food/service was different downstairs for dinner. Once again it took about 15 minutes to get our table even though we hadn’t booked beforehand but we enjoyed drinks at the bar in the meantime. Location in the market was great as well. Fun place, I recommend spending a day in the Camden market and a night of food and drinks here.

This was a Groupon voucher that made us go to The Cuban. First time using Groupon food vouchers and first time to the place. I have to say, it was absolutely awful! Toilets don't have toilet paper, doors don't close, glasses full of residue ( I asked for new ones) waitress seemed to purposely ignore us and I had to go to the bar and bother the guy who did seem to care a bit. This has been a nightmare visit from hell. If you care about your money, time and have respect for your self, don't bother going to this place. Very POOR service!
