I would give this place a negative star review, I booked our Christmas party there as I was told by their head office that there would either be a DJ or a live band, about £600 later and at 9pm I asked where is the DJ/Band and was told not on Wednesday so I had to move over 20 people to a bar that did have music. I complained via the phone and never received a call back so I then mailed and yet again they do not have the courtesy to mail back. I would not spend any more money in a place that clearly does not care if you have a good time and certainly lack and kind of customer service skills. I went to balls brothers incidentally and they were great.

Awful place. Impossible to get served. Staff keener on looking good than serving customers. Visit this place by all means - queue at the bar for 15 mins and then go elsewhere.

Without exception, this has to be the WORST place I've had the misfortune to visit in London. There is nothing positive to say about it - I can only imagine that the people who have left good reviews were either very lucky or somehow managed to enter a parallel universe where the food they were served was appetising and the staff gave a damn about the customers.

Quite what is Cuban about it, other than the picture of El Che, I have no idea. I'm Spanish and I know Cuba well and trust me, this ain't Cuban... or even vaguely Latin!

I booked this place for a girls night out that was also my hen night. I wanted something low-key, but what I got was so low key as to be non existant. We ordered a round of drinks and our food and sat watching our drinks go warm on the bar for 20 minutes while the waitress chatted to the barman. If the dining room had been busy it would have been more acceptable, but we were one of two tables that were occupied. In the end I went up to the bar and took the tray myself - neither staff tried to intervene, they were waaaaay too busy having a chat. We then waited 45 minutes for our starters which were cold when they arrived, and another 45 minutes for our main course. I could go on about what we found in the food (it ended up like 'Where's Wally' - I wonder what they have hidden in this dish and where - oh there it is!!), the complete lack of interest by the staff (we asked where our starters were and the reply we got was 'sorry my English isn't good'), the falling apart furnishings and the fact that the toilets looked like Basrah, but I won't.

Suffice it to say that I tracked down the parent company (well hidden) and wrote a scathing letter to the MD, who apologised and offered us a free meal. Like an idiot, I accepted. It was just as bad, if not worse, despite them knowing that they knew we were coming back because of the debacle our first visit became. I would rather lick the pavement outside Oxford Circus Station after a busy Saturday than ever go back to this place again. There are no redeeming features; horrible staff, horrible food, horrible decor. An absolute insult to Cuba.
