Cocktail list is very good. Service is appalling as is the food - I've been there twice and the bill has been wrong each time. Definitely a drinks only venue (and be prepared to wait to get one!!)

Appalling experience. The staff was utterly rude, the service was appalling (my two friends and I ended up getting up and leaving before being served, so we can't comment on the food!) and we found their policy of asking you for payment at the table BEFORE having served either food or drink not only irritating but totally unacceptable. If they have problems with people leaving without paying, they should perhaps look into having security people at their premises, rather than deal with all customers as potential criminals!

Don't go there! I went there with my twin sister on birthday.. First we had to wait for ages to be served. We ordered some food which never arrived. I told a waitress to check and she asked me (1 hour later) to give her a receipt and she will look what had happened to our food.. Waitress disappeared with our receipt and didn't come back. I asked her again - and she told me that she lost a receipt!!! I asked where is a manager I want to talk to him (we were waiting for a food 2 hours)? Some arrogant youngster started screaming at me and it appeared that he was manager of the bar… He brought us fried squid and dropped it on the table. Half of squid went on a table!!!! I told him that we are not a pigs and that we are not going to eat it! Of course he even didn’t say sorry!

Manager gone absolutely mad… After arguing he gave us money back for a food…. We went to some Brazilian bar in Old street later which seemed to be very nice bar with good service… So Cuban – don’t go there!!!!

We went for a team lunch for 13 which we booked 1 week in advance. We didnt even get offered a drink for 30 mins and when we finally went to the bar and asked for some service we still waited a further 10 mins, once our drinks were ordered we waited a further 20 mins before it arrived. We had to ask for our food menus and once finally ordered it turned up 30 mins later. The Paella was burnt and looked more like soup with an ashtray taste with a very poor portion of fish which 5 of us had to send back and replaced for steak. When our second main course came up as they couldnt get the first one right they didnt cook as ordered, i.e rare instead of medium. We all ate our food at different times. Then 3 hours later when we finally had eaten our main course we wasnt sure whether to order desert or not, but the waitress promised us that it was really good, so as gullable as we are we went for it and yes you guessed it they managed to mess that up as well. the chocolate cake was burnt somehow?? icecream instead of cream. They then gave us a complementary bottle of wine which we found out later that they had added to our bill along with food that we hadnt even had. They did give us a 20% discount but we had to fight to get that, which then the staff then started to swear about us under their breath. I would not reccomend this for anyone as its not even a cheap place to go.

Tucked away at the far end of a concrete concourse between glass and steel office skyscrapers in Moorgate, we stumbled upon this lively latin american bar. The ground level houses a small bar but the large basement is warm and inviting with lots of seating, low lights, and a much bigger busier bar. A two for one offer on cocktails before 7.50pm is a great deal -the cocktail menu is more like a book, and they are generous with the ratio of alcohol to iced water. The french martini goes down particularly well and the and long island iced tea packs quite a punch. The food is standard fare and of so so quality, but The Cuban more than makes up for it with infectious latin american music and great drinks. Because of its position, it's busy but you can still grab a seat. Will definitely be returning.
