Had a beautiful smoked haddock pile. Moist flaky fish on creamy mash. Simple dessert of Creme Brulee. Lovely service and atmosphere.

I was recommended to Hunters Restaurant by a close family member and how grateful I am to him!! From start to finish, the owners and staff couldn't do enough to accommodate us. We had a Sunday luncheon for approx 50 guests to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. The venue is easily accessible - there is certainly no trouble parking. The restaurant is of an exceptionally high standard, even down to the toilets! As for the food - our guests haven't stopped congratulating us on the choice of menu, the service provided and the quality of the food. I would highly recommend this restaurant either for easy dining or if you are thinking of holding a private party. I really can't wait to go there again. Thank you George and Louis for all you did (I hope you read this review!) and for keeping me calm during the days leading up to the event. Believe me, I know I can be difficult to deal with but you were there for me all the way!

Thanks again. Kind regards and best wishes. Barbara (Buckhurst Hill)

I booked this restuarant as a surpirse for my partners birthday. I had king prawns for starters and my partner the scampi, both were delicious with just the right amount of sauce, for main i opted for the halibut which arrived in a creamy sauce, not too over powering hence you could taste freshness of the fish. My partner opted for a t-bone steak, the steak was cooked to perfection however it was rather large and partner could not finish the portion. We skipped desert as we were too full, although the deserts were nicely displayed and tempting but instead we opted for brandies. The service was professional, attentive but not intrusive. We had a lovely evening and would certainly be returning and recommending this restaurant to our friends and family.

i saw a banner outside this restaurant sayingthat it had won an awared for the 2 nd year running as the best restaurant in Enfield. I went in with my friend and expected a lot lot more than was delivered. The steak was as tough as a Rhino's bottom. I complained and the waiter said that it was the luck of the cut. What rubbish. We then had an argument and i left.

My colleague and I found this restaurant to be old fashioned, lacking in atmosphere.

The Steak was overcooked and tough. The source was absolutally tasteless

It is over priced.

I complained the following day (I would have complained at the time but the manager never came round to ask if all is OK) The manager investigated and admitted that we had the bad end of the filet.

When I spoke to the owner, instead of taking the opportunity to put things right he insinuated that I was trying it on to get a free meal!!!!

I had a meal here recently and found that it was awful!! The filet steak was overcooked and tough.

Expensive, an old fashioned restaurant still pushing around a desert trolly.

If you like going back in time and paying a lot then this could be for you.

I certainly will not be going back

i booked for 12 for dinner. I found it very expensive and the steaks were very poorly cooked and tough. When the toughness was pointed out the waiter said soemtimes it depends on the cut.

Accessible, spacious and well appointed in mediterranean, neo-classical style. Service friendly and relaxed. Traditional menu. Food nicely presented and delicious to taste: my generous 'Chicken Kiev' enjoyed to the last crispy crumbs!
