I wanted Crispy Duck... so that's where I went! Good food, and pleasant service. I will return!

whenever my friends come to visit London and desperate for Chinese food, I always recommend Crispy Duck. Stirfry soft tofu and stir fry eel are so lovely.

Truly delicious dim sum menu (with useful pictures in the main, for those of us not too familiar with the ingredients!). The scallop chung fun is particularly wonderful, very generous with the scallops and lots of fresh coriander, as are the chicken & mushroom buns and the crystal dumplings. A gluttonous amount of food (4-5 dishes each) still only leaves you with a £10-£15 a head lunch bill. Each time i've been here the clientele has been mainly chinese couples and families, which i think says it all!

I've been to a number of chinese restaurants within the chinatown area. I must say Crispy Duck delivers an authentic food and value for money. It's also open until 4am, so if you have the urge to have chinese after clubbing this is the place to go. If you are thinking of a better surrounding you can go to the newer branch at gerrand street.

I love Crispy Duck and I've introduced it to many friends of mine who've returned to dine there of their own accord many times. The service is friendly and the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. The decor isn't brilliant but it's adequate enough and the service and great food make up for the lack of glamour!

Came here for dinner one night and ordered the crispy belly pork, braised beef brisket in soup with ho fun, beef in black bean sauce and rice and peking duck with pancakes. It was all delicious (particularly recommend the crispy belly pork, but not for those on a diet!) and came to about 25 pounds, for three people. Very good value. Service was friendly, food (yes, i know we ordered the peking duck!) good and authentic.

At £12, those on a budget (e.g. students) can get a whole roast duck for take away. They're abit stingy with their sauces but you can't fault the duck which if you cook your own fluffy rice will be excellent company. Like most of their food, nothing is exceptional. I wouldn't dine there but for takeaways, no one can match them for value. Try their cuttlefish as well which is sold for £7 take away. The chewy texture makes it a real treat!! Staff are reasonably friendly so long as you don't pay a £4.50 bill with a credit card!!

The place is cramped, a little bit messy, but food was authentic and good value. Went there several times for dim sum, which unfortunately was not served on a trolley, but overall tasty and and good value and recommended are: deep fried shark fin dumplings, steamed prawn and chives dumplings (dumplings 2 pounds each), turnip cake, roast duck, bean curd stuffed with prawn and special fried rice.

15 pounds pp. One of the reliably authentic Chinese.

I recently went to the one in chinatown for lunch and was very pleased with it. I orderd rice and fried vegetables, they were very freah and tasted a lot better than any other chinese i'd had before. The staff were pleasent and very prompt. The decor was good and the whole dining experiance was wonderful and I would definatly go back again.
