805

I started going to 805 about 4 years ago. I had no problems with them till about a year ago. I went with my mate and we had the monica fish. We had the 1st one and then ordered for another one. At this point the table was a bit messy, we asked for the tablecloth to be replaced. The very polite waitress told us that management had said not to replace any tablecloths for customer who "messed up" their table. We asked to speak to the management, the owner Mr James told us that he will not replace the table cloth because it costs him a lot in terms of laundry to wash the table cloths! We were also told that since we chose to eat like children, we will be treated like children. We found this particularly ridiculous and insulting. We were very polite and were not unruly customers so this treatment was somewhat unwarranted, unprovoked and frankly unacceptable. Maybe he was having a bad day but I'm only a customer, there's no need to take it out on me. Personally, I have dined in the best of restaurants all over the world and London and even the ones lower down the scale and have never experienced this treatment.

805 food is however still value for money and I would still recommend the food. But just don't go in there and expect good service, if you get good service take it as a bonus. I have never been back since.

My partner and I came here for my birthday. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was authentic and delicious. I had ground rice with okra stew, the stew was not oily at all, rich thick sauce and plenty of meat in the stew. The portions are generous and the menu is fairly priced. 805 sets the standard for providing genuine, traditional Nigerian cuisine in lovely environment.

This resturant i shighly recommend, it's value for money and the food is Tasty. The location is ok and the service was ok too, I think this is one of the few African resturants tha gets my top vote.

Would definately be visiting there again.

I got to 805 with my Finnish partner on my last summer trip to UK. I must confess we had a great time. I had edikanikong soup with pounded yam , while she had ogbono soup mixed with assorted meat with pounded yam as well.

Infact, there is no better words to describe the food, place, atmosphere as well as the service. It was EXCELLENT. The service was great from start to end.

I would recommend anyday 805 to everyone to try.

Infact, a lot of my friends from Finland and other parts of Europe had gone there and really appreciated the recommendation

I and some friends went to 805 to celebrate my b-day after hearing positive recommendations from other friends. To cut a long story short, everything on that night was excellent, the food was outstanding, the atmosphere was beautiful and the service was great. I think it is also a very nice place to take friends that may not be of African descent and show them what are people can do and are like. By far the best in London

No problems here, keep up the good work 805.

The food was delicious, the service was good. Just a minor - the waiter could have explained the dishes a bit more to us, non-Nigerians!

This Restaurants epitomises what Nigerian dishes are all about, taste, quality, attention to detail. The Monica Fish)is a product on its own, and is one of the many delicious dishes on offer that makes 805 Resttuarnt what it is. It is not only appealing to Africans in the diaspora, also to indegenes from Europen countries. It is a Resturant highly recommended, one with excelence and value for money. Bravo!!

A very close friend of mine introduced me to 805 some 2yrs ago and I’ve never looked back!!

So much so that when my husband and I decided to tie the knot in July 05 we asked the lovely owners Mr. and Mrs. James to do the catering for us. Our guests (both African and English) we not disappointed, neither was my new mother in law and my mum, which is testament to the stand of food they produce. It’s about time African cuisine is presented and recognized for what it simply is DELICIOUS!!! This is fine African dinning at its best!!! Well done!!
