Read about this place in the Time Out's Cheap Eats Guide so went there on a Sunday night with my boyfriend. The menu only sushi, rolls and sashimi (no cooked food) so don't expect anything hot. There were vaguely Japanese looking people there so I'm going to assume that it's pretty authentic. We ordered the 12 pound mix of sashimi, crab roll (not real crab... real bummer) and some nigiri. The portions were tiny; the nigiri and sashimi were no more that one inch long. The meal went by so fast (probably because everything was just one small bite-ful), that it only took us 30 minutes to finish from start to end. Value-wise, I don't believe it's the best place to go unless you are prepare to spend more than 30 quid for 2 people (and go to McDonald's afterwards). The fish were fresh though but I've had better elsewhere. Overall, it was a disappointing meal, mostly because of the portion sizes and it was just not satisfying.

London Eater

Tuesday, November 04, 2008 - This really was London’s best kept secret and more people should know about them. Not only is seafood fresh, but the selection is just great, rarities such as abalone and belly tuna can be had for comparatively reasonable prices. Granted, sushi is alot more expensive compared to other cuisines, our meal came to about to about £60 for two. The freshness of the fish, however is nearly peerless in it’s price range. For the same quality, you’d have to venture to a Zuma or a Nobu but for three times the asking price, and a million times the pretentiousness.
