Tea Palace

We were looking for somewhere we could get the "high-tea" experience, without the high price tag! The Afternoon Tea we had a Tea Palace today certainly filled the bill.
The staff we extremely friendly. courteous & attentive. The decor was interesting, but I felt confortable & relaxed as soon as I sat down.
We spent over an hour at Tea Palace, enjoying cucumber, chicken, salmon & egg samdwich fingers, scones with tea (the BEST I have ever had), and tiny cream eclairs with lavendar, green tea & chocolate cake & mini passionfruit cheesecake petit-fours. These were all brought to our table on a 3-tiered platter.
There was an extensive range of teas (their specialty), I had Lady Grey & he had caramel flavoured black tea. Both excellent taste & high quality.
Cost was 13.50 for the Palace Afternoon tea, teas range from 3.50 - 5.00 per pot.
Can really recommend as an introduction to "High Tea" !!

I first found this place by pure accident having getting side tracked from Portobello Road.
I went for lunch with my partner and have to say that the food was just fantastic and the service is great. We finished lunch at 3pm, which in turn is when they start serving afternoon tea! The scones are to die for !!! I have never seen so many varieties of tea availible!
I have since been back there with my children and they had a wonderful time, correcting me to leave my little finger in the air when drinking from a cup !
A big thumbs up for here, great value, clean, good food and most of all a great service.

A firend and I wanted to experience a Traditiona English Afternoon Tea. It met every expectation. The value for money is excellent and atmoshpere is devine. Something that everyone should do if you love tea.

took a friend here for afternoon cuppa tea. slightly more expensive than what you would pay elsewhere granted but a fantastic drink and amazing selection. i wanted to stay and drink more! plus you get a fair amount for what you pay. not sure about the food. quiet atmosphere was nice. not really much of a palace though but i loved the purple colour!

I went there for lunch with my mother in law and she was really impressed. The atmosphere is very lady like and she really enjoyed the food. My food was also quite good. A more extensive menu, though, would make the all experience even more enjoyable.
