There's a big Greek community in this area and some great little places like the Sophocles bakery on the high street. But this restaurant is unfortunately a bit mediocre. If you live locally - fine. But if you've eaten at some of the great Greek restaurants around Haringey or the remaining couple around Charlotte Street, you'll know this isn't as good as it should be.
I had a Mezze and it wasn't fresh. I do have taste buds and I know what freshly prepared food looks and tastes like. If you've never been to Greece or Haringey, you might think this Mezze was good but otherwise, get the Piccadilly line up to Turnpike Lane and find out what good Greek and Turkish food tastes like.
There are loyal Greek customers here but - pardon this is one place resting on its Greek laurels. And the decor - like something you'd see in a restaurant on the BBC's seventies drama series Life On Mars. Please get the paint pots out!

Hi my name is samantha. I went with a group of my work colleagues to the above restaurant and i can safely say we really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere was also great. There was 9 of us and we thought we would have to wait a while for our food but it was delivered quickly and hot. The starters and main coursers that we choose were delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to colleagues and friends. The food was a good price and the drinks were also a fair price. I would recommend the melon & prawn cocktail for a starter and the main course i had was TAVA and that was delicious. I give the service 8 out of 10 and the meals 10 out of 10. We will be going again.

I have been to The Vineyard several times over the last few years due to a friend once living in Camberwell Grove. The food and service has always been extremely good. If you are just visiting Camberwell during a warm summer's day I can thoroughly recommend sitting outside under the covered area. There is a bit of traffic noise from the adjacent main road to contend with but certainly not intolerable. All in all a very pleasant experience.

I'm sorry to disagree with the positive reviews below but this place is really below par. I've lived in north London where there are excellent Greek restaurants and Camberwell is poorly served by this place. The food is incredibly mediocre and no wonder the place was two thirds empty on a Friday night. We had a Mezze which consisted of tired hummous, re-heated stuffed vine leaves, re-heated meat balls and calimari cooked in so much batter that they looked like inflated rubber rings. The decor is horrible and when I asked politely what time the place closed, a very surly waiter snarled - "round about now". This restaurant is on a very desirable street in SE5 and could be packing in the punters. Instead, it's just plain lazy all round. We all know what good Greek food tastes like and this isn't it. Rarely do I leave an eatery feeling absolutely cheated and livid.

This is one of the best Greek places that I have eaten in. The food is divine and the atmophere is great. I eat here a lot sometimes with friends or family! The service is nice and not to pushy. There is a lovely and relaxed mood to this place.

This is a lovely family run place, food is simple but lovely and very well priced, and service is friendly. Really feels like you've gone on holiday to the Med if you sit outside on a hot summer day too!
