The Green Man

The pub is ok especially in the garden at the back which is surprisingly atmospheric.
Just don't order any food,
We had sausage and mash which consisted of lumpy mash and cheap under-cooked pork sausages and shepherd's pie which consisted of lumps of potato on lumps of lamb mince. They each vied for the title of worst dish we have ever (partially) eaten.
The previous reviewer who made the hilarous comment about the new manager being out of his depth in a puddle was absolutely right.
I was being served by a new member of staff who was struggling with the till. I caught the managers eye and asked him to help. He didn't and he wasn't busy. Nuff said.

The Green Man has recently changed hands - unfortunately for the worse. The new landlady appears reasonably on the ball but her husband got into the gene pool while the lifeguard wasn't looking - frankly, this man would be out of his depth in a car park puddle (as indeed would some of the bar staff). While it may be easy to ignore the odd jarring note, it seems difficult to ignore the rapid decline of the food, the doing away with a promising line up of local musical talent twice a week and a pub quiz that makes counting sheep seem like a dangerous sport.
This is lowest common denominator pub running at its nadir.
