Organised my engagement party at Sugar Reef for a Saturday night with a guest list of just under 70 people. No problems with the guest list and was the list was confirmed by email. Reserved the Marx Lounge by a small deposit which was then put against food throughout the night. Door/bar staff and management were very polite and professional and service was very quick! Ordered several large platters at very reasonable prices and they came very quick! Was generally impressed with the whole Sugar Reef experience and would strongly recommend this venue for anyone planning to hold a party for a larger group.

We ate at Sugar Reef yesterday as part of a LastMinute.com dinner/theatre package. The offered menu was limited to three choices for starter/main course as expected. However, the menu also included three choices for dessert - after finishing our mains, I did ask to see the dessert choice again and was given the full menu. When I mentioned we were on a LastMinute deal, the menu was then replaced with the LastMinute cut-down version. We chose, we ate and only then were we told that dessert was extra.
When I checked the LastMinute website back at home, the deal did mention two course menu - the LastMinute e-mail does not say that! Our server obviously knew that the dessert would be an extra charge but omitted to mention it and was only forthcoming when (apologetically) presenting the bill.
It was obvious she knew what she was doing and thus introduced the only sour note into an otherwise enjoyable and value-for-money evening.
Be warned - check the small print and check what you are paying for ... the serving staff clearly know what they're doing at this establishment.

Visited on a saturday night in a group of four women, first thing we were told was we had to leave within a 2 hour slot for the next cover, a welcome first would have been nice!
Cocktails were good, food selection was basic but good. Service for food is very fast, drinks quite slow in arriving. Felt a bit to quick for comfort as they had us turned around in an hour and out the door.

My Boyfriend and I went for a meal at Sugar Reef for velentines day last year and we thought £20 per head was not a bad deal so booked it. The best part of the night was that they only charged us £20 between us which was a little silly as who would really be dining on valentines day on their own. Big mistake by the restaurant and noone picked up on it. Bargain!

I was at your restaurant last night with a friend to celebrate the Near Year etc. I must confess I was very disapointed with service, waiting time for a drink was far too long as there was only 1 member of staff behind the bar during happy hour. The restaurant area service was also slack and the food was not served hot enough.I enjoyed a visit last year and had a fab evening.I was so impressed with the service and food so decided it would be the best place to take my friend only to be disappointed. It needs to get back to being more welcoming and friendly. The food side of things perhaps should be reviewed.

Took our daughter and boyfriend for an after Christmas day in London. Having eaten before at the Sugar Reef I was a little dubious about going there but I thought the atmosphere would be good for the younger members of the party, bearing in mind itwas Dec 29th 2005 I was very very disapointed to find a Christmas menu the only available choice consisting of Roast Turkey dinner the main course meal or alternatively sirloin steak or a vegitarian.
We all had the Turkey very reluctantly as none of us like Sirloin steak or vegitarian. It was to say the least average. It wasn't even made up for by the (previously pleasant) staff - maybe our waiter had seen enough turkey as well to last him a life time. Won't return for a third time!
