We went to see a friend singing there on Wednesday and for the third time of visiting we found the bar person rude and unhelpful. She found the washing up of far more interest than serving drinks. When we tried to put drinks on someone's credit card she insisted on a table number even though we didn't know there were table numbers and pointed to the table where we were sitting she was really rude.
If you are trying to create a friendly environment then be friendly yourself!
Third visit, third rude reception shan't be back. Your loss.

I came here with two vegetarian friends and we were't really sure what to expect. On the whole the food was great as was the wine (although please note one of my friends is excellent at picking wine)!
The only minor complaint, is the live music, which was fantastic, did make it impossible to have a conversation! However we decided to just kick back and enjoy the music as we chose to sit in the back room, we could just as easily have opted for the front room.
oh and I ordered a strawberry daiquirie, which was made with fresh strawberries.... it was delicious, although by that point I had consumed a large amount of wine......
Overall, nice place, good atmosphere, nice food.

I had great expectations, but this restaurant did not live up to any of them. The food was fine, but unremarkable on the whole. And the wine: I had come with 11 vegetarian friends. We were a group looking for a regular vegetarian place to meet monthly. I ordered a glass of their South African wine. It tasted faintly of warm vinegar. I cannot remember the last time I sent a glass back. I asked the waitress if it would be possible to exchange it for a glass of the Rioja. She asked if something was wrong with it. I said while I didn't think it was corked, it was exceptionally undrinkable. Her reply was that it was there policy to not exchange wine just because the customer didn't like it. I reminded her that we were 11 people at the table-- surely she could make an effort. She said no. I sent it back anyway-- life is too short to drink bad wine! The manager then came out and repeated: "It is our policy not to give free wine just because the customer didn't like it. Would you like another glass?" I told her that I was not going to pay for another glass when they made no effort to take my word that it was undrinkable.
You see, I think if a restaurant sees a table of 11 people, and one person politely asks if she can exchange a glass of wine, they should do the math, remember that they are in the service industry, and exchange it. I am not sure what financial model the restaurant has, but let's see: had she been pleasant and exchanged a glass of wine that cost them all of £2 (minus the customer markup), the restaurant could have endeared a group whose bill was £140. That's £140 minimum a month they don't earn (our group has 8o+ members, and 11 was a low turn out as January is usually slow).
Another interesting moment was when people came to sit next to us and started smoking. They asked for an ashtray and the waitress gave it to them. It took about 15 minutes for the manager to come out and tell them that actually, this was the non-smoking section.
I think a restaurant should make you feel welcome, and give the customer the benefit of the doubt. This place instead made me feel ripped off and unwelcome. Well, at least I am happy that we will deny them 70x the price of the wine each month!

After a short walk from Camden tube station, expecting i had no doubt lead my date in completely the wrong direction there it was. I was at first unimpressed and imagined i had booked a table at a vegetarian cafe/sandwich bar.
However, after stepping into Green note there seemed to by a serenity in the atmosphere that soon cooled any mis-placed rising anticipation.
The waitress was very friendly and attentive throughout our loud and raucous meal.
As i had never eaten in a veg restaurant before it seemed natural to begin by ordering a range of Tapas which included Mango and halloumi salad with mint dressing, which was a true delight and a wonderful mix of flavours.
Marinated artichoke hearts
With capers, which i was told by my date is an aphrodisiac (go figure)
Organic falafels served with salad and a tahini sauce, mmmmmmm!!! and not mention last but not least Mock duck, spring onion and cucumber spring rolls with hoisin sauce. How do they make fake meat soooo good, i would definately visit again as the food is good, inexpensive and the atmosphere is great.
Also note that you cannot steal candles from the toilets 'please do not take me as Karma will be instantaneous'

Warm and cosy feel with good choice of tapas and some main dishes including various burgers - all vegetarian. The mock "duck roll" was particularly good and the mushroom burger with big wedges looked very yummy. On the down side, when its busy it is very cramped and I would not advising eating there on busy nights, so check before and be sure to book a table. Ask for a square table as the round tables are tiny!

I ate at this restaurant last month and having found it on the internet and going last minute after work I wasn't expecting too much. But I was pleasantly surprised. The food was yummie, with lots of choice and arrived quickly. The staff were extremely attentive and very friendly, the atmosphere relaxed and made even better by the great live music. I will definitely come again!

Valentines Day at the Blue Note was a good choice. Atmosphere romantic, food good, although the set menu was limited and expensive. Meal for two cost the better part of £80 without wine. Everything else was good though.

This place has a great location - up Parkway from Camden tube station but feels like a million miles away from the lunacy out on the street.
A really cosy atmosphere, great music. Friendly (if a little scatty) staff.
Food is great - the last time we went we shared a selection of their tapas which were unusual and tasty. Lots of vegan options and a good wine list, too!
The added bonus of music some nights make booking advisable.

Very accomodating staff, with a great concept bringing live music with dining to the top of the ever gentryifying Parkway.
Not very big and in danger of long term survival as a bit out of the way- but where else can you get live blues with good food in North London.
Good birthday choice with a small group.
