never again....so disappointed...disgusting food...and the staff is unable to manage a restaurant.
They should pay the rights at least for the name
Definitely not advisable for an italian

I went to La Forchetta restaurant with my firend Alessandro to celebrate the end of the first month of english school that we started together in june. He is Italian so, he wanted to introduce the restaurant to me, also I wanted to eat Italian food. He told me the restaruant is an authentic Italian restaurant.
The restarurant was very tiny. There were many flowers inside and there were a lot of coloured lights. We sat down at the table and we immediately ordered a Chainti, which is a tasty red wine. When I first saw the food, It was very strange to me however, the food was very very gorgeous. The staff was also helpful to us.
I like Italian food since I've been eat it!!

I went to La Forchetta restaurant with my friend John wha' to celebrate the end of the first month of english school that we started together in June. I'm Italian and i wanted to introduce him to the famous italian cusine and so i chose this restaurant as I had been before. It's an authentic italian restaurant, the owner is italian and the waiters too...The restaurant is very tiny, with a lot of colored lights and variopint flowers inside and with beautiful painting of italians scenary on the walls.
We sat down at the table and we immediately ordered a Chianti , which is a tasty red wine. Then we had for a starter a dish with melons and Parma ham, which is very exquisite. We waited 2 minute after the starter course and Mariano, the funniest waiter in the world, brought us the main course: a rich "Maccheroni alla Bolognese" with a green salad that were both delicious. The second course was "the Fiorentina meat". I left half of it on my dish because its weight was almost 1 Kg, but it was very succulent. At the end we were very full and we left the restaurant very happy....

Our visit to Forchetta was very disappointing. The food although presented well, was rather poor.
The rubber sea-food salad was swimming in a vinegar and the pizza didn’t taste too good either .
The staff lacked personality and asked us to order 3 times! It seemed like they were more interested in football and we simply interrupted them watching it.
A real let down!

I went to La Forchetta on Saturday night and I thought it was quite good. The service isn’t as sharp as it could be, but the atmosphere in the restaurant was good and overall the meal we had was definitely above average. The bruschetta starter I had was great, as was the sirloin steak I had as the main course. I would consider going back again.

Oh - I don't think its that bad. Its a family-owned restaurant and the people are generally nice. No frills, nothing out of this world, but the food has always been pretty good. Its better for take-away pizza and a nice alternative to all the pizza/kebab/fried chicken restaurants that litter the road.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. I was looking for a place to enjoy a glass of wine and some pasta, and was quickly seated by the hostess. It went downhill from there. I sat for 20 minutes with not even so much as a nod from my server as he passed by. Finally, I looked around to get some attention, and another server noticed, and asked if I wanted a drink. I placed a drink order and mentioned that I was also ready to order my food, and she just said ok and walked off to another table, not bothering to let my server know. Another 10 minutes passed without anyone coming by to check on my table, and finally I had to ask the hostess if she could get someone to take my order. It was only then that my server came, but without a word of apology for the inattentiveness. At this point, what was supposed to be an enjoyable evening was completely ruined. For great Italian food *and* attentive service at a comparable price, I'd suggest Carluccio's just another minute up the street instead.

Quite simply the best Italian restaurant in Islington. Great service, great food, and great prices - especially the lunch deals.

Went here on a Thursday before a movie (relatively early) and it was quite empty. The service got worse from the start - the waiters were either staring out the front windows, standing out the front or walking around aimlessly, studiously ignoring us. The selection of cheap pasta/pizza was small and the two pizzas we chose were not particularly good or fresh tasting. It is cheap, but won't go back.

Went here on a Wednesday evening so didn't expect it to be too busy, but it was very packed. The owners seem to try and squeeze as many tables as they can in, we were practically sharing with the table next to us. Service is very poor, the staff ignore you unless you get their attention. Our starter came on time, then we had to wait 30 minutes for our main because they had forgotten and only remember when we reminded them. By this time we had lost our appetite and didn't even finish it. They even had a cheek to add on 10% service charge. I am definitely not returning to this place again and would not recommend this place to others unless they want very bad service and eating dinner very squashed.
