I was inviited by a school friend over a drink in the Lounge area. However we ended up with a delecious meal in the fine dinning area. I would give 8/10 for this venue & service and 10/10 for the food. I am taking my family over on the long weekend.

Must visit and take advantage of the offer. I used to cook at home. Now i eat at 3-oceans at least 3-4 times a week. Unbeliveable prices on lunch buffet. When i eat at three oceans, it reminds me of my grandma who used to cook for me during my stay in Punjab, North India.

Expect to see this place on TV soon, on Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.

It has to be the worst restaurant I have visited in years.

The reviews have been kind, trust me this place is terrible.

First and last visit.

I cannot believe that in over a year the complaints are the same. The waitress was run off her feet and to make matters worse when she did serve us she could not understand what we were asking for.

We order a vegetarian starter. During the 35 minuet wait for it to turn up my wife saw a dish being delivered to another table. She asked the waitress what it was and she was told it was it was a potato starter. My wife told her we had ordered the vegetarian started but could we also order a portion of these potatoes as well. When are starter finally turned up it can only be described as poor. The Samosa’s looked like they were frozen and from a packet, onion rings that looked like the one you would find in a Harvester, Jalapeño chilli poppers that you can buy from Tesco and the potatoes. After another 5 minuets she brought us a plate of potatoes, when we asked what it was she said it was what we ordered. We asked why she did not tell us it was the potatoes which were already part of our starters and all she did was shrug her shoulders. I said it we would not be wanting them, so she took them always.

Following a further 40 minuet wait for our main course we asked how long it would be and we were told another 20 minuets, when we said we wanted to cancel the order as we had waited too long she spoke to the kitchen and our order came out in 3 minuets, so from 20 it was reduced to 3 minuets. The mains we had were no worse then what we have had at other place but no better to justify the price.

When we asked for the bill she came back to asked if we would be paying for the potatoes. When I asked her if she was asking or telling us she said she was asking. I said if that was the case then no but she persisted to the point that my wife asked her if the manager had told her to persuade us to pay for it or else she would get into trouble and she said yes. By then I just wanted to get out of there so I told her to add it to the bill. I told her to tell the manager that because he wanted to quarrel over £3.75 and considering the poor food and service we received, we would defiantly not be returning.

Overall the most surreal experience I have ever had in a restaurant and if the place is still open in a year from now it will be down to the Fawlty Tower syndrome, in that people will not believe how bad this place is and would want to experience it for themselves.

My wife and I went last night, Saturday 10th March. We were taken by 2 friends who had eaten before at 3 Oceans and had had a reasonable meal. It was just a convenient place for us all to meet. I had read the reviews before going and was slightly panicked. With justification.

The service was the worst I have ever experienced at any restaurant. They frankly have zero idea what to do. We had a table booked for 8.15. We waited over 20 minutes for the table to be cleared and set for us to sit down. Should have left then.

During that 20 minute wait we ordered drinks; they came after 30 minutes. The waiter came to take our order after another 15 minutes. By now I was beginning to lose the will to eat let alone live.

The order got screwed up by the waiter ( it was not at all complex but he managed to confuse a starter for a main course) however the starters did eventually all turn up, but by now it was after 10.00.

We had been chasing them for our food throughout the wait. It took over the evening.

And to make up for the slow service they cleared away the starters and delivered half the main courses about 2 minutes later. The rest arrived after another 5 minutes !!

However the waiting staff were not at all rude, patronising or surly in any way. A couple couldnt really understand us and others just apologised. The problem was the kitchen and the bar, just too few and probably incompetent staff.

Quite apart from the owner, who we gather was in attendance and was told about the abysmal service, but chose to leave rather than approach us.

Then the noise. It is pretty overwhelming what with large family parties and the nowadays obligatory plasma screens in the "background". Even when the volume was turned down on the TV's, you could only have a conversation when shouting!!!

Staggered if he still has a business to run in a few weeks time.

Oh, of course the food. It does pretend to be a restaurant. Pretty mediocre. Had better at any number of smart local Indian restaurants, let alone in town.

Probably the worst restuarant I have ever been to. Horrible food, over priced drinks and the worst thing was the service. The manager is extremely rude and thinks that she is doing the customers a favour by serving them.

Stay away from this restaurant if you do not want an unpleasant experience.

A horrible experience. The waiting staff were rude, arrogant and unprofessional. The food was adequate but with so much competition with in the local area Im surprised this venue is managing to survive. The general atmosphere was spoiled by the compliancy of staff not providing a professional service. Value for money, definitely not! Once we finished our meal we asked the waiter if we could do a takeaway for the remaining food and was advised quite rudely that no one is allowed to take home food, when asked again, I was advised to bring my own takeaway cartons which is off great surprise considering they offer a takeaway service. I asked to speak to the manager and make an official compliant about their rudeness and service and was advised that I was talking to the Manager. When I asked for his name I was refused saying you just address your complaint to 3 Oceans. Later, we were advised my other customers that the person I spoke to was not the Manager. Its not surprising to Police were in attendance the same night after one waiter was being verbally abusive to a young family. Avoid this venue at all costs unless you want appalling food being served by rude staff.

First time visit food was great and service good, been back several times since and enjoyed each occasion. Very surprised about the negative feedback on site. One of Finchley's finer restuarants.
