we went to mini-mundus last sunday and sat outside in the sunshine. we had reserved for 2pm but had to put it back to 2.30 and i called and the person was extremely accommodating and seemed to have no problem with this at all.

We had the most fantastic food - snails were amazing with great fresh bread and then i had the confit of duck which was perfect. we shared a cheese board to follow and could not have asked for more. a simple wine list but extremely fairly priced with the option to buy in carafes as well.

However from the moment we arrived we were subjected to the most surly service i think i have ever had in a restaurant from our waiter, which was such a shame as the food was out of this world. He managed to serve us without uttering a single word. just grunting. and chucking the plates at us rudely.

The other 2 members of staff were delightful and perhaps they need to have a word with their colleague as he wil not do much for repeat business.

Will be going back. But just for the fantastic food.

Mini Mundus is a fantastic find, run by a a lovely french french family the chef / owner is passionate about food and keeps the menu fresh and interesting. I've been bored with samey menus at other restaurants in the area so it was great to find cusine that is not only interesting but tastes fab.

The cheese plate is to die for and the wine list extensive. However, the final work I am going to say it that staff are so friendly the atmosphere is cosy and warm, you never want to leave...long lunches in the new outdoor area are definately dangerous!

I have been meaning to try Mini Mundus for a while. I was relieved to find that the positive reviews on this site are obviously genuine. A lovely French restaurant with French staff. Reasonably priced food and wine. Dinner for two -three courses from an a la carte menu, (scallops, prawns, boeuf bourgignon, rabbit in mustard sauce, chocolate fondant, an appley pastry thing) 2 glasses of champagne, 500ml carafe house red , glass of port and glass of pudding wine with came to £88.

Will definitely be going again.

Superb food (especially the scallops). Wonderfully fresh ingredients (which, frankly, is a rarity in London), cooked to perfection and all at a very reasonable price. A gem of a discovery - will definitely be going back.

Excellent repas (coq au vin et confit de canard).

This is a lovely little place, so glad we've discovered it as one of our local restuarants. The food is absolutely gorgeous and extremely fairly priced. My husband thought the duck was fantastic - the standout dish for me was the pear tart with butterscotch icecream.

The night we were in there was a real mixture of diners; groups of friends, couples and young families, all creating a really nice buzz!

Would thoroughly recommend.

We love this place - whether i go with my husband for a treat on a saturday night (and i allow him to blow a tenner on a glass of sauternes at the end), take my parents when they're down, go midweek with friends, or go for lunch with my nephew and assorted other infants in tow, the food is always fantastic (and however full i am, I always manage to squeeze Pablo's chocolate fondant in at the end), the staff are always lovely and we always have a great time. Too often fantastic local restaurants don't survive and I'm always really happy when we're in there and it's busy. I worry when it's not - please if you're reading this, give Mini Mundus the support it deserves - Wandsworth Common would be a far duller place feeding wise if it wasn't here.

On a fantastic summers evening or a cold dark winter night, coming in to mini mundus and the cozy atmosphere is heaven. The lighting is just right and either for families or a romantic night out, this provides the right settings.

The atmosphere is fab, the service is great (maybe the previous comments was due to someone having a very bad day), we have at least never experience moody staff or slow service. Quite the contrary.

The Chef Pablo makes amazing food, fantastic! Try it and you will return here. It is good value for money and worth the experience.

We had driven past Mini Mundus many times and always thought how nice it looked. We finally went there the other night. and were really looking forward to it.

The food was very nice, as was the owner of the restaurant. However, unfortunately the waiter was very surly and unfriendly. We had to wait over 30 minutes for our dessert, which wouldn't haven't mattered had it not been for him not apologising and suggesting that we should have expected to wait that long!

A bit surpised to see at the beginning that the menu states that rude customers will be made to pay 12.5% service charge, but having experienced the waiter can imagine why they had to state that.

So to sum up fantastic setting, great food, lovely owner, horrendous waiter (that unfortunately ruined the evening)

This is my favourite restaurant, hands down. The service is excellent and the food is amazing. The menu isn't huge (6 or 7 mains) but everything on there is to die for. Highly recommended.
