Waiteress recommended great items, enjoyed a lot King Prawn Swadilo, tried for the first time, Naan were thin and crispy. There's no word to explain about nepalese pickle, offered by the chef himself.
Food was brilliant....... service excellent...... Kudos RARA !!!!!

This is a purely Nepalese restaurant and not Indian as written on their name plate on the restaurant. We had to wait more than 15 mins before we were even given a menu card. Very slow service. Do not try aloo chat as they do not have any idea of how it should be. The potatoes were not even fully cooked and there was not even one type of chutney on it (mint, coriander or dates chutney). It was more like aloo ki bhaji (vegetable dish).
All Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Nepalese restaurants call themselves as Indian restaurants and bluff the British public who think they are eating authentic Indian food.

Used to eat at Rara often and food was very good however recently standards have definately dropped. on latest (and this will definately be our last visit) there was no draught lager, over cooked onion bharji, cold curry. To be fair the waiter offered an alternative curry dish but by that point I just wanted out of the place. We begrudgingly paid for all food - upon returning home I emailed the manager who didn't even have the decency to acknowledge me!

My husband and I ate at RaRa last night on the recommendation of a friend.
It was far and away the best Indian meal we have ever had.
Everything looked and tasted fresh and vibrant and there were all sorts of different dishes I had never heard of. We both tried different dishes and were not disappointed.
We are looking forward to our next meal there even if it is a bit of a drive for us but it is well worth the effort.
The restaurant itself was a bit jaded but the staff and service were excellent.
