Rose Vegetarian

Although our drinks & one our main courses (shahi dosa) came promptly, my main (karahi Karela) ordered at the same time, did not. Fair enough, it was the day after Diwali, and they were busy. However, when my order still hadn't appeared after 25 minutes, I managed to catch the attention of a second waiter, who said he would check. 10 - 15 minutes later, I am still sitting there, with no food, not even the bread I ordered & no word of what had happened, even though the waiter I had asked came out several times. The people sitting at the next table, who arrived after us were served.

In the meanwhile, my boyfriend had finished his main course, and I would not have had anything to eat if he had not shared some of it with me.

By now, I was waving my arm in the air, trying to get the waiters' attention but they just ignored me.

My boyfriend caught the attention of someone I took to be a kind of maitre'd, who gave a qualified apology (after all, we had chosen to visit at "Indian New Year"...). He said he would check, I just asked for the bill. No attempt was made to try to turn the situation around (e.g. they could have could have at least let us have one of the drinks for free). Instead a second manager who took my payment on the way out said much the same as the first (in other words, it was really our fault for coming at such a busy time, and didn't expect us to know about Diwali).

As a vegetarian myself, it is disappointing to find such a badly run vegetarian restaurant. It was not so much the error made over the food, as I accept they were very busy, but the total disregard shown to us, and me in particular.

Amazing food and vast menu !

Not sure how they manage to make everything tasty !!

~Total wastage of money and time. Better buying of sandwiches from tesco's.

Poor ambience in restaurant. Uncomfortable chairs and doesn't feel like a restaurant. Very large menu but food was incredibly oily and everything tasted the same. Service was very good, but food really is lacking in taste. Large portions. Cheap but not very cheerful. Disappointing.
